Ursaring is a normal type Pokemon found in Bewilder Wood who belongs to Paul. It soon became one of his strongest battlers, destroying half of Ash's team at Lake Acuity and many other feats. He is vicious and aggressive, matching the personality of his trainer very well.

Ursaring has learned several powerful moves.
Hyper Beam: A powerful beam of energy released from the mouth which requires recharge time(forgotten)
Secret Power: An attack which differs based on location(forgotten)
Focus Blast: A powerful blast of ki energy
Hammer Arm: Ursaring either smashes or punches the opponent with its arm
Bulk Up: Raises Ursaring's physical attack power and physical defense
Slash: Ursaring lashes out with his claws

Strength
Ursaring smashes the ground open with just a punch, no attack required.

Catches Chimchar's Flame Wheel with ease and then shakes him out of it. For reference, Flame Wheel is powerful enough to send the 22.5 lb Turtwig, 88.8 lb Zangoose, and 1212.5 lb Metagross flying
Spoiler: click to toggle

He's willing to use headbutts too. This isn't really a feat, but it's badass enough to be counted here, since Ursaring fights like he's in the WWE(this also applies to the clothesline, double ax handle, and upper cut)
Spoiler: click to toggle

Durability
An Iron Tail from Pikachu and Razor Leaf from Turtwig only barely slow him down. The Iron Tail in particular is a powerful attack
Spoiler: click to toggle

Blocks a Flamethrower from Chimchar, an attack which boils ice instantly
Spoiler: click to toggle

Tanks an Aqua Jet from Buizel. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Gets hit by his own Focus Blast, an attack he's weak to, and while it hurts, he's fine
Spoiler: click to toggle

Tanks a Sonicboom from Buizel, another attack that shatters ice and has shattered rock
Spoiler: click to toggle

His head is moved by Aerial Ace, but not much more. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Tanks a Quick Attack from Pikachu. Quick Attack is quite strong
Spoiler: click to toggle

Tanks an Iron Tail to the skull
Spoiler: click to toggle

Recovers quickly from a Mega-Kick from Hitmonlee despite taking damage from Spikes. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Shrugs off a super effective Close Combat from Hitmonlee despite Spikes damage and the Mega Kick. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Fights through another super effective hit, Hi-Jump Kick, from Hitmonlee in addition to the damage before. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Being set on fire by Blaze Kick(again, in addition to the other stuff Hitmonlee did) only pisses him off and activates Guts. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Hammer Arm
Ursaring hits the ground so hard with Hammer Arm, that a digging Chimchar is sent flying out of it and the ground around him quakes
Spoiler: click to toggle

Smashes Chimchar hard enough to shatter large chunks of rock below him and bury Chimchar
Spoiler: click to toggle

Punches through a Water Gun from Buizel. Said Water Gun has sent Pokemon flying in the past
Spoiler: click to toggle

Clotheslines Buizel so hard that he breaks the ground beneath him. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Hammer Arm hits hard enough to embed Staraptor in the ground. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Causes Pikachu some real pain, and that's impressive given Pikachu is quite durable little guy
Spoiler: click to toggle

Sends Hitmonlee flying. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Slash
Hits Buizel out of an Aqua Jet, and the Aqua Jet has proven capable of punching through large blocks of ice before. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Hits faster than Staraptor's diving Close Combat and also stuns it long enough that Hammer Arm can hit it. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Shreds a rock and can use them back to back
Spoiler: click to toggle

Focus Blast
Hits Buizel out of Aqua Jet, something even a Lucario's Force Palm had trouble doing
Spoiler: click to toggle

Staggers Staraptor from the air and sends it flying back
Spoiler: click to toggle

Smashes a rock and sends Hitmonlee through the air
Spoiler: click to toggle

Ursaring's special ability is called Guts. This means that when Ursaring is poisoned, burned, or paralyzed, he freaks the Hell out and his attack power rises immensely
Posted Image
While under the effects of Guts, Ursaring fights through paralysis and tanks a Thunderbolt(very powerful ) before wrecking Pikachu with a Hammer Arm that took him out of comission
Spoiler: click to toggle

He also takes a Flamethrower from Chimchar without fainting despite having already taken quite a bit of damage from earlier battles(though after this, a Dig and Flamethrower do finally put him down)
Spoiler: click to toggle

He knocks out Hitmonlee and tanks another Blaze Kick besides the one that burned him. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Clashes evenly with the Drill Peck of Empoleon, a 186.3 lb spinning projectile in essence. Ursaring was Bulked Up
Spoiler: click to toggle

Is only staggered by his own Focus Blast despite it being super effective and having taken lots of damage(though he probably couldn't have taken much more punishment)
Spoiler: click to toggle

Paul's Ursaring was f***ing SSJ level compared to other Ursarings.

I always smiled when another Pokémon beat it though, don't know why.

Because aside from Electivire, it's the most openly douchey of Paul's Pokemon?

Probably, yeah. But at the same time, it was satisfying seeing it beat the hell out of everything.

Am I just misunderstanding the use of the term "tanked". In a lot of the "tanked" points he doesn't seem to be tanking them in the way I would use the word tanked. Both Turtwig and Pikachu's attacks seem to be hurting it.

Tanked imo would be like what Semi-Perfect Cell does to #16. If you're taking damage, and getting tossed about by the opponents attack, I wouldn't personally call that tanked.

The Chimchar flamethrower one I would call blocking, not tanking.

The Pikachu quick attack one is the first one on the list I would truly call tanking.

You're right, but I don't really know a better name for it. In the Pikachu and Turtwig case, Ursaring's immediate reaction after that is to start belching Hyper Beams and Pikachu and Turtwig don't even entertain the idea of fighting him. Not sure of what a better term would be though

Still changing it, because you are right.

This guys actually pretty ridiculous, huh?

Really says something about you when you can reliably stand up to Godchu.

To be fair, Godchu was burned and had just gotten smashed through several Rock Tombs by by his own Volt Tackle. That being said, considering the absolute a*** kicking that Ursaring dealt him and the fact that Ursaring himself had taken a few nasty hits and was paralyzed, I could believe that Ursaring would beat him even at full health.
