Round 1: Kalus has the Fangore Round 2: Kalus doesn't have the Fangore Both are in character, but Kalus won't monolog if he's got her at his mercy. |

Fangore I don't think will help that much. Pyrrha's polarity is very invaluable in fighting the car here, and in addition, she can potentially just fling Kalus out of his car (his armor seems metal to me). Heck, that might just end up giving Pyrrha an extra weapon against Kalus, she could the car at him potentially, or just pluck him out and let him fly without it. I see this quickly turning into round 2 after a while. The speed Kalus is showing is very impressive, though Pyrrha was also keeping up a bit with Cinder, granted she was holding back but I don't imagine she held herself back to where Mercury would have been evenly fighting her. I want to say Pyrrha is either even with or possibly faster than him but aside from the two blasts and the gears and the car made in the air I'm not certain how fast "peak human" is. What did that look like anyway? In terms of skill Pyrrha should easily hold the advantage here. She's extremely versatile able to easily and cleanly flow between kicks, punching, ranged combat, javelin combat, sword combat, using her shield, often able to mix multiple styles together to what looks like it would be worthy of an Ultra Combo. Kalus comparatively is a very simple fighter, using punches, maybe a spear time to time (close range anyways). She's also more agile than him I feel, without such a large advantage in speed she was able to fight four people pretty much at once. Strength and weaponry though I think go to Kalus... Kalus I think can win at a longer range, but once Pyrrha gets close he's gonna have a very rough time. Heck I wouldn't put it past her to try jumping on one of the bolts to get to him, and though those bolts do allot of damage she has done admirably in dodging these types of attacks, like against Penny. I think Pyrrha can win most of the time, but some of Kalus's weapons will prove difficult, and I'm not entirely sure how the two speeds of Pyrrha's likely FTL... Errr, Faster than Lightning vs Kalus's Faster than Peak Humans who can dodge plasma bolts mid transformation compare. Kalus is probably more durable, but Pyrrha ain't no slouch herself, having taken blasts that create craters in stone, the fact that she's more highly regarded as a fighter than Yang (granted this doesn't directly correlate to durability feats), and that hit that created the (probably) shockwave destroying tower. I have this being a pretty even fight with Pyrrha holding an advantage I think, due to impressive agility, her combat style, and her polarity semblance can help her to toss around Kalus or simply misdirect his attacks. This would be the moment I'm referring to and it's a really good feat of reactions http://www.tubechop.com/watch/7824700 That was not a team effort either, the purple guy wasn't trying to synch up with the red guy at all, so the red guy had to make do with reacting to the blasts as they came. Now, this feat isn't peak human(it's beyond it) but at the time that Kalus blitzed them, the red guy was peak human. Nevertheless, Kalus can keep up with Krytus and Krytus could keep up with the sword slashes of the guy in red.
He did train with a staff at one point and used his bolas like a morning star at close range, but those aren't his typical weapons yeah.
What if Kalus decided to go without his armor? Would that affect anything or no? |

Wat. It's kind of wat in a glorious way though. Also oh, and yeah, but as I said there aside from maybe that one jump, it seemed more like he was keeping out of range, it's still good speed, but the way he's dodging means he's not dealing with his reaction speed directly. Still pretty good but it's clear he's playing it safe there for the most part. Yeah, to be fair Pyrrha's performance in Extracurricular is probably one of the best displays of moment to moment skill I've seen in a while. It's pretty much what convinced me early on that Pyrrha was easily the best fighter in RWBY (among the main cast anyways). Something that's been shown and stated as time goes on. Honestly if you got her using her polarity semblance on you, she's probably already on the ropes, or at some kind of disadvantage, such as when she can't access her weapon (As shown against Mercury, Penny, and Cinder). Basically polarity is her last line of defense, most of the time's just used to subtly bring her weapon and shield back to her, allowing her to pull of a few tricks that wouldn't be possible otherwise, like throwing it Captain America style or just allowing her to maneuver better without having to keep a constant hold on her equipment. Pretty much the only time she extensively used it was against Cinder, after she broke her sword. Edited by Tinny, Mar 26 2016, 08:28 PM.

He has outsped him at closer range than that though. Granted, part of his victory was here was due to his dual blades, something Kalus would not have, but it's clear Krytus isn't a slug in the least ![]() ![]()
That makes me think that she'd have a harder time with Krytus, given he's got nothing metallic. Would that be accurate? |

Oh, that looks allot better, not quite as effortless but still good. And yeah, it looks they're close, Pyrrha won't be speed blitzing here. And most likely, especially since Cinder broke Pyrrha's blade with heat and she likes to block with that blade in addition to the shield Edited by Tinny, Mar 26 2016, 09:23 PM.
