My teammate is willing to cover the initial costs ($600) to get me started, which means I wouldn't be coming out of pocket. How bad could things go for me if I'm not coming out of pocket? The person trying to recruit me just told me he'd drop $600 for me. If he were trying to scam me, would he really take the risk of losing $600 on me? I'm not gonna do it, but I want to get to the bottom of this, and I appreciate everyone here who helps me. Edited by Professor Gohan, Mar 23 2016, 04:09 AM.

The reason he's willing to drop $600 on you is that the way you make money in these things is to recruit other people rather than sell the products (which are probably complete s*** too). Almost everyone loses money in these, the only way you can make money is to recruit enough people yourself in to it to make money off them, which is a scumbag thing to do because then they'll be the ones being ripped off. It's a disgusting business practice that preys on the naive, do not get involved.
