I doubt anyone is going to watch this 15 min video, but can someone please tell me if you think this is a legitimate business?

Could it be worth it?
Or is a scam a possibility?

I'm considering it because an old college teammate is trying to recruit me.

Rule of thumb, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

Come on Prof, never seen a pyramid scheme before? Haha  it's totally bull.

I'm not being a hard-head or not listening to advice, but let me tell you guys some new information.

My teammate is willing to cover the initial costs ($600) to get me started, which means I wouldn't be coming out of pocket.

How bad could things go for me if I'm not coming out of pocket? The person trying to recruit me just told me he'd drop $600 for me.

If he were trying to scam me, would he really take the risk of losing $600 on me?

I'm not gonna do it, but I want to get to the bottom of this, and I appreciate everyone here who helps me.

He's being scammed as well but doesn't realise it, it's what pyramid schemes do. The reason he's willing to drop $600 on you is that the way you make money in these things is to recruit other people rather than sell the products (which are probably complete s*** too). Almost everyone loses money in these, the only way you can make money is to recruit enough people yourself in to it to make money off them, which is a scumbag thing to do because then they'll be the ones being ripped off. It's a disgusting business practice that preys on the naive, do not get involved.
