At no point did I get the impression that the article is telling you to eat nothing. Also, if you don't think fruits are delicious then you can get out of my face. |

"Then you've got the chance to do better next time." "Next time?" "Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is." | |

Also, to answer your question, yes I do try to avoid the following: Red meats, processed food, high sodium foods, high fat foods, high sogar foods, etc. Do I always succeed? Hell no. But it's the effort that counts. Besides, you have a while to learn what a perfect diet is. Don't stress it. Cancer rarely comes at your age in the first place. |

You eat no fruits and no vegetables? No beans and no grains? You came out of the womb eating meat? I could've sworn you mentioned hardly ever eating red meat, if at all. Edited by Sandy Shore, Mar 16 2016, 05:21 PM.

This scaremongering is really nothing to worry about. If you are "destined" to get cancer, you will. There are certainly foods that can make it more likely you'll get cancer but there's not really anything that will outright make it happen. It's all down to luck really, not everyone who eats s***ty food gets cancer and not everyone who eats healthy avoids cancer. There are people out there who've smoked for 60 years and are dying of old age, others who've never touched a cigarette in their life who have lung cancer anyway. My view is it's best not to worry, have health in mind but eat what you enjoy, avoiding only excess that's the only thing that will definitely shorten your life (besides the obvious, if you enjoy eating glass...have fun with that) Stress can literally make a s*** ton of health problems happen, worrying only makes you more susceptible. |

So you are saying that its already precoded in the DNA so if someone will have any health issues or not? s***tons of articles in the internet suggests otherwise. |

It's not good advice to say "you might get lung cancer even if you don't smoke, and you might not even if you do, so you might as well smoke", as—while true that you might or might not regardless—you're far less likely to if you don't, and far more if you do. They're not certainties, but it's about minimising your chances - if it's something that concerns you. I smoke because I'm hoping for an early death, personally. As long you are physically active and make sure you eat the right amount of food that will provide your essential vitamins, you'll be fine. Red meat is still good for you as it provides protein. I've heard the rumors that is not good for you but heck I'd rather die from eating red meat then die from smoking cigarettes. Don't stress about this as we all die eventually. I hope that I helped out! If you worry about red meat in particular, stick to chicken or fish. Edited by Graffiti, Mar 16 2016, 06:55 PM.

You know i just dont want to ever experience the bulls*** what that certain illness might carry. I mean I shall lessen the intake of those particular foods which might increase the chances of certain cancers. Like avoiding smoking lessen the chances of lung cancer so that avoiding eating processed meat lessen the chance of colon cancer. I fear so that my grandfather from mother's side and my other grandmother's brother both died by cancer. Edited by Pointer, Mar 16 2016, 08:43 PM.
