Let's say you go on safari to hunt some dinosaurs. Forget the butterfly effect, the time machine takes care of it. What kind of gear would you bring and what kind of dinosaur would you hunt? |

A bazooka. I'd be hunting an Amphicoelias Fragillimus. Though it might not be enough. ![]() Jesus.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

Damn, I pity the taxidermist who has to work on that. I suppose you'd mount the head? |

I'd probably sell it to a museum. That thing's head is waaay too big to keep it in my house. |

Does it have to be realistic gear? If not, a mech suit about the size of a t-rex, give or take. If nso, a Denel NTW-20 with ammunition and hope I've got another person to help lug that beast around. I'd probably hunt Tyrannosauridae assuming I'm not already being hunted by one or more. Edited by Helvius Pertinax Augustus, Mar 12 2016, 02:31 AM.

Are you going to try to actually keep the head intact or will you just settle for the hide? |

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

T-Rex or any other big carnivore like that. A bolt action sniper rifle plus a lot of ammo naturally, rape alarms, a ghillie suit, shock knuckles and/or batons, a basic but robust pistol of some sort and necessities like food and water(before anyone is like hurr durr wb food lawl), night vision goggles and finally a nice big machete or sword. I can carry all that. Shut up. Perhaps an additional donkey, storage and a decoy! The rape alarms because they make a f*** ton of noise and they'd probably be great for freaking out groups of dinosaurs potentially attacking me. Plus if anything ate me while they were going off they'd have to deal with going crazy, serves them right for not allowing me to succeed. |

With an alarm, you might be able to scare some herbivores, but some carnivores will be curious to see where that noise is coming from. |

Heart shots are more humane. Unless you are close enough to guarantee an accurate shot to the brain, never try to shoot an animal in the head. If you're off by even an inch you could leave the animal mutilated but still very much alive. Heart shots will kill the animal effectively and do less overall damage to the meat, skull, and hide. |

Other way around more likely. Predators are more skittish than herbivores because they have more to lose if wounded |

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

Ketchup's right. In any case, alarms would help in some situation. I'm going to hunt for primitive insectivorous plants. Probably bring a shovel. And a damn heavy machine gun in case something comes for me. Grenades. Lots of grenades. Varieties. Ear plugs.

You could hunt prehistoric bugs. They're freaky but awesome. |

If I get bit or stung by something I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say there is probably not a cure for a Triassic-Jurassic disease or any sort of resistance I'll stick to my plants and be one scared white boy of all the things that could eat or step on me.
