Should they charge Vegeta, he can just fire a casual blast and it's bye bye for them. Even if Piccolo could create a blast powerful enough, it would take hours probably. And Vegeta can finish Goku in one weak punch. Zero chance.

Chrome Favourite Manga Dragon Ball/Attack on Titan	They barely handled Raditz with one survivor, and Vegeta is at least 11 Raditz strong. Even if Goku somehow got the hold in, which Vegeta could break out of instantly, he could easily take a SBC to the chest and get away with no more than a slight stinging. If by some miracle they survive then their only hope rests in the Mafuba. Well, that is unless the Sleepy Boy technique somehow worked. But then they'd be faced with a conundrum of how to prevent Vegeta from waking up.

All these takes place in less than 5 sec Veggie > 30 Raditz Oozaru Veggie > 300 Raditz

Even if Vegeta got distracted Goku would've grabbed his tail thinking that was Vegeta's weakness. But that would be countered and turn out bad for Goku. Goku and Piccolo would easily be destroyed by Vegeta.
