Yeah, you saved $8 if you preordered. I'm not sure if the offer still stands though. I'll be beating the game next weekend. ^_^

Oh, just found out Europeans have to wait 5 more days for the release date. Good job Britain left the EU.

Oh, I wouldn't mind paying $40 anyways. So I don't think it's worth it. Much cheaper than a new PS4 game.

Base stats are wonky for this gen it seems. Haven't seen the alola form base stats yet though.

I got my friends back in Canada to ship me a copy, so I'm getting it tomorrow morning - I couldn't wait the extra week in the UK. Super excited!

And dude me too, I never played Rupy and Sapphire when I was younger as I started with FRLG, so ORAS was a brand new game for me and then Sun and Moon look even cooler, been watchin gameplay videos so far and the region looks sweet. back to back pokemon goodness, aww yeah.

Yeah, I wasn't aware you lived in the UK Daniel. Is that a new thing?

Certainties for my team are:

Decidueye
Salazzle
Alolan Marowak
Alolan Muk

The only way I won't have those is if they're split into version exclusives, or if the place where you catch them is to close to the end of the game since I like to get a team of 6 around the 4th-5th badge at the latest. The remaining two I'll just keep open since there are quite a few I like.

I don't have a full team of six till about the seventh badge tbh, I also don't mind grinding that much so maybe I'm just weird lol. Although EXP share for the whole party makes leveling really easy, something that I hope they change back to the old system.

I detest the new EXP Share mechanics for regular playthroughs. Completely takes away what makes Pokemon fun and just makes things too easy. I just turn it off. It's definitely a god send in post-game though. Ideally they'd bring back EXP Share as a held item, but keep the Key Item for post-game.

My planned team is:
Decidueye
Alolan Muk
Lycanroc (Day form)
Araquanid
Bewear
Mimikyu

I'm also going to be using the same rules I've used for previous playthroughs:
No fighting wild Pokémon to avoid overlevelling (unless I catch a new Pokémon and need it to catch up with the rest of the team)
Battle style on set
Exp all off
Only allowed to use the same amount of items as my opponent in gym and league battles (or the equivalent in Alola)
No switching allowed in gym/league battles except as a substitute for a healing item (so if the opponent uses a full restore, I can use a switch, or a healing item myself)
Avoid using the easiest mon to beat the leader until the end. I much prefer battles where the two pokémon are on neutral terms. When you play by just sending out the super effective Pokémon every single time, it just gets extremely boring.

Yeah that would be sick, something like the regular aid gives you the normal EXP share midway through the game as usual, but after you beat the Elite Four, Oak (or whoever the prof is) gives you the "super" EXP share as a reward or something along those lines. But yeah it makes the whole struggle of having a balanced team way too easy with the current system

Version exclusives have been released on Serebii, happy with the Moon Pokes. The only one I cared about, Alolan Marowak, is on both games anyway.
