The Lord of the Dark

TWD started out as a comic book series, so I'll include it here.

Let's start a small discussion with this huge zombie franchise. Seems like there's a lot to discuss between the comics, the show and the game.

Which one got better and better as it went on?
Which one is more entertaining?
Which one has better characters?
Which one has the better zombies walkers?
Which one do you prefer?

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

My Dear Melancholy,

Comics > TV Show > Game

They're all wonderful and perfect but the comics out perform them character wise. Especially developing the characters. The game got better as it went along. Entertainment will be the show. Overall the comics.

Yeah, I'd say that the comics are better than the TV show for the most part. There are some instances where the TV show outperforms the comics to a ridiculous degree, but those cases are rare.

I find the walkers in the comics to be better; the separation of 'roamers' and 'lurkers' is quite nice. We get mentions of them in the TV show, but that's just in passing.

Honestly, I'm more entertained by the TV show. I find it much more comfortable to just watch it, even though I think the comics are superior.

Comics doesn't have ''CORAL'', so that's something.

The Game's really interesting. I cried playing it, but it feels like a separate beast altogether. We've had timeskips in the Comics and the TV shows, but they were never jarring to me. The ones that happen in the game do, and although the characters were super interesting and I was really invested in them and their stories, it just didn't reach the level of either the Comics or the TV show.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

All of them are great in their own way, but for me the TV show is the most enjoyable (but I'm a big fan of TV shows in general, so I'm more inclined to like the show). I'm currently reading the comics and I'm only a little ways into it (the group is currently in the prison), so my opinion on that is limited. I do think the characters and story are dealt with a lot better in the comics, but TV just has a much easier route to creating an engrossing experience in my opinion, bringing characters and places to life in a way that comics can't.

The game is great; the gameplay is decent and it's a really interesting concept. However, I do feel that the main reason it's such an enjoyable experience is because it's an interactive version of the show and comic. Without those coming beforehand I don't think it would have been as good as it was, so I don't think it can be put above either.

So yeah, for me it's TV > Comic > Game, but the further I get into the comics, the bigger the possibility it ends up TV = Comic > Game.

"Then you've got the chance to do better next time."
"Next time?"
"Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is."
