Why is Batman the hero most prone to being powered up for the sake of plot?

My Dear Melancholy,

Most popular* Trust and believe every hero has pis.

In this case its because he's popular and batman makes more money than justice league (which counts towards Batman anyways. Batman > Batman )

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Every hero has PIS, true, but Batman has it especially badly. I've seen people claim that he could beat Green Goblin because of a few times that Batman inexplicably kicked down a steel door and tanked a building ruining explosion. At one point, Batman had a computer that could calculate very possibility, yet for some reason he doesn't use it. He has the ability to build all of these mech suits, but almost never uses them.

Also, no one has ever had it so bad as to shoot Darkseid.

I'd rather never have Batman on a versus thread unless it's one of the more consistent cartoon/movie incarnations. And even those are still a bit inconsistent.

From what I hear from Queen nowadays, N52 Bats aren't as PIS as they used to be due to powerful opponents' weaknesses being magnified ten fold from what they used to be. So a small bit of Kryptonite apparently causes Supes to drop to his knees (although I don't know how that works well considering he's gone straight through a red sun and survived.)

Yet Bane in N52 is powerful as hell.
Doesn't make sense but whatever.

I don't even go near Batman VS threads because it's all the same bulls***.

"Batman can beat anyone!"

"Batman beat this guy [due to special circumstances taken out of context] so he can beat your guy easy!"

"It's Batman, he can't be beat, DUH!"

I just can't even anymore.

N52 Bane beat the living hell out of Batman in New 52. Only reason Batman lived was because the Flash and Superman.

That wasn't pis on Batman. That was an @$$ Whooping.

If Superman decides to use his heat vision in the form of a narrow beam (like most common illustrations that we see), then yes Batman has the capability of dodging them. It's not because he's that fast, although quickness is a factor here. He's just smart enough to predict the trajectory of the blast and where his opponent will be aiming the shot. As soon as the heat initially leaves Superman's eyes, Batman will already be on the move. This is how he dodges other projectiles such as bullets, lasers, arrows, etc. (keep in mind, this doesn't make him a "bullet timer"). No prep is required for this feat.

However, if Superman actually plays this smart and shoots it off at a wide angle, then it is impossible for Batman to dodge the heat vision. people are written to dodge Superman's heat vision all the time. This can be due to a variety of reasons such as poor aim on Superman's part or the fact his enemy knows they are coming.

Plus N52 Superman before losing his powers only have a few years of experience.
