DB/Z/S fight's take forever, we all know the jokes especially around the anime. Why do they take forever though? At those kind of speeds within a few seconds hundreds of punches could have been exchanged or if you believe that they're MFTL and all that thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands in every exchange. Yet they can be fighting for half an hour and they'll only have surface damage, barely ever do we see broken bones or ruptured organs, once someone sustains as serious a wound as that typically the fight is over unless the fighter can regenerate. Compared to other series they do so little damage to each other in much longer time frames and with many many more hits. With that it kind of baffles me people always fall back on the "Goku is the best martial artist in the universe though" idea when energy blasts would be ineffective against an opponent, which obviously is pretty much all the entirety of DB has on any other series. Barring energy blasts and extremely high level characters would they even be able to beat characters like Doflamingo from One Piece in a relatively even fight? Characters in One Piece generally can walk around with their organs smashed up, full of bullet holes and/or stab wounds. |

Nah, they aren't weak. It just happens that most DB characters are quite tough, especially the villains. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

There are some like Goku (atleast in the Saiyan arc) who can still muster staying unconscious, speaking, and able to manipulate and pass on energy with more or less every bone in their body broken. I wouldn't say they're weak per se, most just don't have awesome characteristics to their body. Edit: The hell, how does one stay unconscious but speak and manipulate energy consciously? They're straight forward. DBZ characters often have problems against creatures with esoteric powers due to their straightforwardness, but in their straightforwardness, they aren't half bad |

Now you replace DB/Z with HXH or Meruem instead of Goku, you'll incur the wrath of Steve If walking with organs bulging out is why you consider OP characters to be "strong", then Frieza (sliced in 1/2, abdominal viscera visible) says hi to you |

DBZ characters are rather tanky for their power too. Look at all the times that a ki blast has failed to kill someone. |
