Whis himself stated that he is a life form named Whis in charge of taking care of Beerus

Which suggests Whis is more of care-taker for Beerus than teacher. Kinda like Kibito was to Kaioshin.

He could've beem tasked to take care of purple cat by someone superior to him, which we might me getting on with world/universe-building Super does in future

As of now, Whis is servant/cat-sitter for me
Whis is stated to be Beerus' teacher though not just his care taker.

Whis. I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise.
On contrary, I dont see anything special abt Whis that warrants him "best teacher" status.

At best, he lectured about Goku's overconfidence & Veggie's overthinking. Whats unique about him? Just curious
Considering the gains Vegeta made when training under him ... :/

No offence, but just like popularity does not equate to quality, gains dont equate to better training, hence better teacher

At least not on visceral level

Various factors contribute to Veggie's growth. We know for years of Veggie's tenacity. The MFker is an arrogant SOB who stops at nothin till he reaches his goals

Look at monstrous gain he made frm Frieza~Android Saga

Frm being a weakling by comparison to Base Goku (who fought against 50% Frieza valiantly) to an ant by SSJ Goku (50X stronger than its users Base)

Trained in Gravity Room with 300 & 450G. BAM! Surpassed even Kakarot!

Like-wise, frm being an ant in Cell Games as ASSJ (by comparison to SSJ2 Kid Gohan) to surpassing even SSJ2 Goku in Buu Arc as Majin (via his extensive 7 years training)

So, can we say Gravity Room was the best teacher?

Nope. The gains dont neccesarily translate to superior teacher. As even Goku trained in OtherWorld, with arguably best/greatest Martial Arts exponents/teachers in 4 Quadrants of Galaxy & attained SSJ3.

Yet his gain as SSJ3 was rendered a joke by the time Gotenks & Gohan had much superior gains as Gotenks & Ultimate/Mystic

So, can we attribute Piccolo (for Gotenks) & Old Kai (for Gohan) as greatest teachers as they were responsible 4 their monstrous gains?

Roshi's amazing because he took what was basically your average Shaolin pupil (Krillin) and turned him into a superhuman fighter

in 8 months

by delivering milk

he's the GOAT
Krillin at the beginning of the series could one-shot a saber-toothed tiger while caught off-guard at point-blank distance (which is enough blunt trauma to kill a human), chop through the ropes of a bridge with his bare hands, can jump 40 ft on a standstill, and can run at speeds that rivals the world's fastest man.

He was no ordinary Shaolin monk.
Now now, you know what I mean. He was average in his dojo, considering he was picked on by someone who he later oneshotted.

Gains aren't everything.

Roshi only taught Goku the very basics (milk training, pushing yourself beyond the limits of what is normal) and probably the most important rule, there's always someone stronger than you, in someways this is where i think Goku got his motivation for life to meet stronger beings and test himself. So i have give credit to Roshi. But that's pretty much it, besides the basics, Goku taught himself the kkh by observing Roshi perform it. Popo taught Goku moving without thinking, being silent when making moving, suppressing ki, ki detections in which Vegito teaches Gohan absorbed Buu.

Since Dragon ball has a lot to do with ki, i'm going to give the edge to Mr Popo or Kami. All the stuff learned under Popo is still used in the advance classes like with King Kai, Whis.
