Thala na Gethu!

Right from get go, I associate "fan service" to any sexy/revealing female scenes to appeal or arouse male viewers. Maron (Krillin's GF in Garlick Jr Arc) comes to mind. Her skimpy bikini & Roshi pervism embodied "fan-service". Or so I thought

As I grew up & became more accustomed to DB (essentially Toriyama's) style of pleasing fans.

List out any particular scene or part that you consider falls under fan-service. And why you think so.

For me, classic case of fan service was Chibi Goku vs Kuririn at 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai. Best friends that trained under same Master. Their match was only a matter of time & Toriyama completly played to the gallery by having these 2 chibis duking it out. And it was thoroughly exhilarating, which stickex true to their respective characters. Goku being the nauve fool, yet strong dumb head who keeps improving himself (overcoming his tail weakness), while Kuririn is the smart chap who doesnt mind playing dirty. Cool stuffs~

Another instance was SSJ2 Goku vs Majin Vegeta. The fight itself was hardly worth the hype, but the term fan-service applies in full motion here. Veggie's match with Goku was teased at Tenkaichi Budoukai, which was interupted by Kaioshin & Buu crisis.

Then you have Majin Vegeta tearing places apart & Goku with his most "out-of-character" moment threatening Kaioshin to "get the f*** off".

Vegeta resists Babidi's orders & Goku decides to finish the fight at FP.

Its one of those classic fan-service moments which leaves fans hanging high & dry for something "big" to take place. And boy. It sure was.

Bulma during the Pilaf Saga. There were so many scenes with her showing off her breasts that it was ridiculous. And let's not forget:

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I think any form above Super Saiyan is fanservice to keep people wanting to know what form is next. Also perhaps scenes like Tien stalling Cell and Super Boo. Scenes where humans are made out to be incredibly strong for a moment.
