Man this is so glorious... |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

It's about time honestly, there's been so little gameplay aside from that one part with the flare that I began to forget about this until I saw Dead By Daylight. Hopefully what we see at that point is good. Anything in particular you want to see by the end of the gameplay stream? I'm just hoping the gameplay is good and both parties have plenty to do (enough that neither part gets boring at least), obviously we can't ask for anything to insane from Jason like hacking computers or something dumb, but the victims definitely need some goals to pursue aside from simply survive. |

They've said a few things the victims can do in the F13 game forum. There's also some simple but interesting expositive videos in the above posts. All I want is Jason to feel like a threat again. He hasn't been like that since the 2009 remake. Hopefully the "victim falling into the ground every two seconds" mechanic doesn't happen too often, otherwise it would be IMPOSSIBLE to run away from Jason. I'm interested to see which costumes made it to the game. |

I kinda hope there's an NES game skin to be honest. I realize it's dumb but I figure it should be an unlockable, a recolor at least. You know, how long does the stamina last again? I'm pretty sure walking is slower than Jason and running is faster, have they changed it from the alpha build we saw earlier how long one can run for ? Also what in particular is being set up for the victims to do? Edited by Tinny, Jun 11 2016, 09:12 PM.

I was actually the first to request the game developers to add the NES Jason skin in the game. Kinda surprised no one else did. They said they wanted it in aswell. It would be way dumber if Über-Jason was in there, cause he looks even sillier than NES Jason. Well, kinda. Calling the police is the main objective I believe. |

Doesn't look really interesting to me, but hey, it's still early to judge. Is there a steam greenlight page ? |

It's not ment to be interesting. It's Friday the 13th, and this game is 100% fanserviceable. Steam page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/438740/ Official website: http://www.f13game.com/ |

I disagree. A game has to be somewhat interesting in order to be purchased. Would you buy a game you're not even interested in ? This game interests you because you are a Friday the 13th fan. This game imo looks like something me and my drunk buddies would play for a couple of hours. |

I think you answered your own question. You're not interested because you're not into F13. |

That's it, yup. I just disagree with the notion that a game doesn't have to be interesting. |

Well it's interesting if you're into the lore, the movies, the comics, the novels, etc. It's more of a "by the fans, for the fans" kind of game. |

Still, I hope it's plenty appealing to non fans so that we can get the ball rolling on more multiplayer horror, a somewhat untapped genre. Something more open world with tons of monsters and a sensationally creepy atmosphere would be brilliant. I hope this game inspires a lot of creativity. Anyway yeah hopefully this game isn't going to turn out like Evolve, while I did like Evolve a lot people who were terrible at it generally hated it because there'd be huge periods of...nothing, aimless wandering, not finding anything until a climactic event and that understandably gets dull, I don't think even fans would keep it afloat if it quickly gets boring it's doubtful just the concept of playing as Jason will keep enough people interested to keep the servers going. |

Monsters? How would there be monster in a Friday the 13th game? Unless Jason posseses one of his victims like in the novels, or summons zombies and wild wolves like in the NES game, the only monster going around will be Jason, and that's more than enough. And there's not much stuff for the diehard fans, it's more for those who are more into the movies. So hopefully we get the most important object in F13 lore in the game: the Necronomicon. Imagine the crazy s*** that could happen if someone picked that up. |

I mean monsters in a different game entirely, as in hopefully this game goes down well and inspires more horror multiplayer games. Ideally not just standard 1 vs 4 stuff or more f***in' zombies. Though I wonder if there could be not monsters but NPC's in this game? That would be a good way to fill the gaps. Give Jason more people to kill otherwise playing as him would get boring if the survivors were good at hiding. That would be interesting actually, survivors could have to find NPC's that have specific tools or keys in order to progress. That would lead to some interesting situations where players have to confront Jason because he can just camp out next to some keys or whatever and wait for victims. Good way to mitigate any skill gaps. Survivors that know how to work together will probably win all the time, same as with Evolve. An actual cohesive team was pretty much unbeatable because you can only get one at a time. |
