Greatest Skeleton Characters

Skeletons are fun characters no matter the role they're playing. They can be fun, goofy, crazy, evil, etc, but they always stand out just because they're skeletons. This is a thread dedicated to those characters who show the signs of being/having parts of skeletons(so it's not just for those who are completely skeletons) from all types of media.

First ones that come to mind:

Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king, who'll always be in our hearts as the least heartless creature that doesn't have a heart.

Posted Image

Sir Dan Fortesque, a hero no one deserves nor needs, but still kicks a*** anyway.

Posted Image

The mighty and most quotable skeleton-man of them all, Skeletor. Myah!

Posted Image

On the opposite side, we have the freakiest skeleton-man, the Horned King. (In the Disney movie, anyway, I believe he wasn't a skeleton in the book)

Posted Image

Brook, One Piece's violinist AND pirate.

Posted Image

Deadpool's nemesis, the great Taskmaster.

Posted Image

The other radical Marvel skeleton, Ghost Rider.

Posted Image

Hexxus, the villain from FernGully, mostly known cause Tim Curry. He's got an awesome voice.

Posted Image

One of many Mario enemies, the Dry Bones.

Posted Image

The reaper, Grim from Billy & Mandy, who ironically got a fate worse than death.

Posted Image

The crazy flaming skeleton-demon from Mortal Kombat, aka, Scorpion.

Posted Image

The most recent additions, the Undertale brothers, Sans & Papyrus.

Posted Image

Yet another grim reaper, Death, from Discworld.

Posted Image

Nagash, from the Warhammer series, probably the sickest-looking skeleton we have so far.

Posted Image

I stand corrected. From the same series, come the Necrons.

Posted Image

Xykon, from Order of the Stick. Only good thing about that comic, most likely. But what do I know?

Posted Image

Death Gun, from Sword Art Online. So ridiculous, yet so edgy and cool.

Posted Image

Skeleton King, from Berserk. As expected from a Berserk character, his badass traits most likely come from the gory stuff in the series.

Posted Image

The Jersey Devil, from the Wolf Among us. Not really that special but I'll add him anyway.

Posted Image

SkullGreymon, the creepiest-looking Digimon ever.

Posted Image

Itward and Remor from Fran Bow. More nice creepy additions to this list.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Nightshroud/Darkness from YuGiOh. Definetely not Zorc-level of cool, but still pretty cool.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I think that's a pretty complete list actually, though... Doesn't Task Master only wear a mask? That's not an actual skeleton.
I would say you're missing Death from discworld though
And maybe remove Hexxus, he's okay but I wouldn't call him that great compared to the others like Jack Skellington.

Could it be, someone else that doesn't care for that game?

I said that any character with skeleton parts can be included, so Taskmaster counts, in a way.
And no, I won't remove Hexxus. BLASPHEMY, no one says that about a Tim Curry character in my presence!

You are calm and reposed, let your beauty unfold

Like the list, going to add one of my own personal choice but he's fairly niche and I expect no one to care or agree.

Nagash

One of Warhammer Fantasy's biggest and best villains, and a favourite character of mine from that universe. I went by his name on here for a while and everything.

Call me a safe bet, I'm betting I'm not
I'm glad that you can forgive, only hoping as time goes, you can forget

Added. Never played anything Warhammer-related but he looks sick.

Can we add races? I always thought the Necrons were pretty great as villains in that Warhammer kind of way.
If any faction is gonna win the war (barrimg Chaos), it's these guys.

Behold! Xykon, the Lich Sorcerer, in all his glory:

I guess that's not cool enough, fine. How about some fanart:

I'm just going to assume he's the only good thing about Order of the Stick.

To be fair if you were gonna really recreate his speech it'd be in all caps and probably really annoying after a while on this forum. :p

Ouch! That's pretty unfair only having read a few strips. He's probably not even in the top ten (but, hey that's hardly even a criticism ;) ). Even the venerable A.V. Club recognizes OotS.

Order of the Stick and El Goonish Shive are probably a the largest examples of webcomics that get better as time goes on that I can think of. They both were rather uninteresting at first (EGS had particularly bad, arguably outright ugly art) but eventually became quite good.
Though Xykon is easily one of the most fun liches I've ever seen, while still managing to be quite awesome and in some cases almost frightening.
