Crazy Awesome Legend

I find it difficult to fathom malicious behaviour. Things such as creating a computer virus and distributing it around the internet. Nothing is to be gained from this. Particularly the ones that aren't targeted at specific organisations or groups, but the internet in general. It doesn't make them any money, it doesn't make them famous and it doesn't help society. Is their state of unhappiness so great that they need the five minutes of joy it gives them to know that something they did made some people miserable? Why is that little moment of power so important to them? Then we have swatters. People who call the armed police or swat teams on innocent people. This usually has slightly more purpose to it than creating a virus but the difference is very little. Doing this for being mocked on Call of Duty suggests an incredibly low self-esteem. And there was a man who randomly assaulted a street performer who was dressed like Predator. There's a video of it online. He just walks up to him and beats him up for no reason. I don't hate these people. I feel bad for them. These people need serious counselling and they clearly aren't getting it. Or perhaps they are and it isn't working? I wish they could understand that being helpful and nice is far more rewarding than acting like a*****. |

Some people find it amusing because they've got no other things to do in life. Others are just simply stupid and others have been through some depression and think they'll get rid of it by doing bad things. That's my opinion, anyway. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

Most viruses are for profit these days. Back when networking was more shoddy viruses would be made just for fun to mess with people. It's a money game now.

Dunno about now, but most hackers I used to know on IRC made viruses for pride and respect |

I'm sure some of it is a twisted sense of humor. It's funny to them, especially knowing they did it. |
