Will the current MCU and DCCU end?

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I know in like 15-20 years everything going on now will probably be rebooted/remade or whatever but...will the current series properly end or will they get high on power and keep going until they don't just end but die?

Any good series knows how to have a good ending after all but these movies make so much money so is that how it's going to go?

Can't really picture how they'll end myself. "And they all lived happily ever after" doesn't really fit either universe.

Nah, Marvel has a gameplan. They've done MCU in phases, so it has to end at some point. I think it'll end within 10 years.

DC are just starting out, so they'll keep going for 20 more years I reckon.

I do think it fits Marvels better, but I really don't see DC's ending other than something really dark and sad. That's the vibe I got from Man of Steel and the Batman Vs. Super latest Trailer...it just doesn't seem like it will.

Now, I do think we're going to lose a lot of people along the way in both Universes, but I do think by the time all the stories are told...the MCU will have a happy ending with whoever is still left alive. The DCU seems like it'll be too broken to be happy.

Personally, I don't think they can continue the MCU without a reboot after the Infinity War, it only makes sense to reboot it. Since Robert Downey Jr. said he doesn't have much Iron Man roles left in him, and since his contract is over after I think Civil Way(I'm probably wrong, but I'm not sure).

My Dear Melancholy,

They'll probably create an Ultimate MCU. They'll explain the universe concept and BAM "reboot".

I really don't think either series should go on more than say 10 years for MCU and 15 for DC, it's going to get dull watching the same characters or having characters you love leave in whatever way.

Captain America 6 for instance, would probably not be a good movie. Whoever is Captain America at the time it's still going to struggle to have different patterns. 2 Warring factions, betrayal, one side not being as good as they appear.

They really shouldn't go on longer than they're welcome and I so hope they know when to stop and reboot.

Oh Hell NO.
F*ck Ultimate.

On-Topic: I doubt they will remake anything, it wouldn't make sense to reboot an entire Universe, and if they do with Ultimate, then they know no one's going to like it, at least those who have read the Ultimate comics, which are utter crap. A happy ending doesn't fit DCEU, but that's what they might do with the MCU. Or maybe not considering Marvel is trying to take that annoying edgy route.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Considering just how many characters and stories they can potentially use, it'll most likely never end. When the need arises, the characters will most likely just be recasted and the mcu/dceu will continue (in the same continuity)

Yeah I hope they keep both universes going if actors leave, the MCU shouldn't end because Robert Downey won't be Iron Man for one thing.

With so many other characters hopefully they don't believe it hinges on one and drop them to reboot later, the universes as they are need to keep going and come to a satisfying end.

They won't reboot anything(Spidey's an exception) because Marvel knows fans don't like s***ty reboots.
