By this I mean when you have your standard bad dude, he has lots of money and with that mostly loyal goons for the hero to wipe out in sweet action scenes. They're usually always calm and charismatic, making small gestures or saying audio ques to get henchmen to do stuff... I just kind of imagined how silly that must be behind the scenes whilst watching the latest James Bond movie. In one scene the bad guy puts off the lights in a room, which makes all his subordinates or whatever stand up. Can you imagine villains planning s*** like that? Villain: "Alright I have this really epic speech planned out to annoy _insert good guy name here_ lol so when I say this part of it you put the lights on and open the doors, slowly, not too slowly! But like...in a sinister way. Then I'll sit back in my chair, put my hands together and make a smug face, that's when you escort him in to the room while I cackle all evil like." Henchmen: "Yes Dr. Von Evil Man, Sir" Villain: "And don't dare any of you crack a smile ever. And you must wear sunglasses. At. All. Times." I will forever look at villains differently. Surely this kind of s*** happens? Imagine being a poor henchman having to do all this embarrassing stuff to stroke the ego of their boss. |

I dunno maybe they buy them in the henchman supermarket. Which villains are you referring to anyway? |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

Just any ones with stereotypical behaviours. Like not telling henchmen to kill someone but meaning it. "When I tell you to remove Mr. Good Guy, take him and execute him(in a room with a convenient escape)" "Yes your evilness..." |

Ah, the likes of Mumm-Ra or Skeletor. Nyaaah! I'd like to think Skeletor knows he's the bad guy, and has fun with it. Think of him as the Tim Curry of cartoon villains. Oh wait, Tim Curry is the Tim Curry of cartoon villains. His minion just follow him because they know they'll triumph. One day. In the very, very far away future. |
