What do you think will come in the future when the fights with U6 go underway? Fighting style? Special abilities? Fighting choreography? Bonus question: what do you hope to see? Just to remind people of the line up of fighters.

Fighting style - Same as it's always been. Generic all-rounders who fight using melee and nondescript Ki blasts. Special abilities - Different coloured beams or maybe some geometric variation like a sphere instead. I have a slim hope for either Botamo or Magetta showing something actually different, but I know the odds are in favour of the developers disappointing. Fighting Choreography - Predictable punches, kicks, and maybe a few Karate chops thrown in there for good measure before the inevitable overusage of Ki blasts. Just letting you know now, I have pretty low expectations for this arc. The people who write for DBZ aren't innovators They use what's already been given to them and when it comes time to show "new" content they change the look of the attack and that's about it; which is odd because you would think that such a uniquely various array of characters would have all kinds of different abilities and fighting styles. Kabe could have a Super Saiyan level beyond Super Saiyan 3 that isn't Super Saiyan God or what we know as Super Saiyan 4. |

Heh, fair enough, honestly I'm not expecting that much, any hopes as to what they might showcase then, even if you think it's unlikely? |

He's fairly critical of DBZ as a whole actually. Besides, being a repeat of an old anime isn't exactly something to shoot for. I don't know why there's constantly talk about DBZ like it's the greatest thing ever right now, MG2 was great for its time but that doesn't mean it can compete against games like Thief or MGS3 or Hitman. Don't see why MGS5 would apparently be alright if the gameplay were pretty much a clone of MG2. Anyway, I'm hoping the robot can actually try to utilize its nature too attack, maybe being in different attacks you don't normally see, fighting dirty as well perhaps. I'm curious to see how kabe is so strong. Is it his base or has he found a new form? Does he have the same ssj forms? What do you think of this theory I heard about Purple guy is alternate cell Kabe is alternate vegeta Frieza guy is alternate Frieza The bear is the alternate buu The robot guy is the alternate android |

Having one of them outright be a combat mage could be really cool. Of course, he'd be called a cheat and a coward for doing this. That's a weird thing in anime. If the antagonist does something like...a smoke screen, they are a dishonorable coward. If the hero does it, it's good strategy. |

It would be nice for them all to have unique powers instead of just stacking endless transformations on top of one another but since that's the Z formula, I can't see Toriyama not milking it even more. |

In retrospect? Yes - at least with regards to the choreography. I noticed that Toriyama would often recycle stances and techniques on such a frequent basis that they seemed to overlap with different characters. Examples? Spoiler: click to toggle These are just a few examples of what I mean. Sure, there might be some minor variations between each character, but the type of attack is the same, and these are all melee exchanges. Ki attacks should speak for themselves. I don't know how people arrive at conclusions over which character is more skilled. They all look pretty much the same to me. Edited by Thiln, Jan 5 2016, 11:26 PM.

What's sad is that most of those panels come from the "better" and "best" days of Dragon Ball. You know what the current standard is for fights in DB? Spoiler: click to toggle From the high budget movies, not the episodic series. It's just mindless repetitive pummeling. These people are supposed to be masters of martial arts yet it seems like most of their attacks are generic hits, kicks, and blocks sped up to give the illusion of skill. Of course, I think by "masters" many people instinctually turn their thoughts to Super Saiyan extreme power ups and energy blasts anyway. I suppose in that sense they are masters.
