Kid Buu was a hax or magic, he has absurd power from the start, crazy reg and unique ability to copy someones abilities just by watching them. Frieza was the prodigy born with high power levels, and with training he achieved crazy new levels reaching god levels. Since U7 contestants seems to be confirmed and there's no hope for Gohan, what crazy new levels can Buu achieve through Whis training?

Also need clarification, the new place Whiss send Goku and Vegeta to, did Whis say that place have god ki or just don't leek your ki?

The fact that Buu's power at his inception needed to be magically absorbed from others compatible with his type of Ki leads me to believe his physiology isn't tailor-made for growth through "normal" biological means. Every increase in power he gained was through underhanded assimilation of the powers of others which seems to be conceptually similar to his resurrection when you think about it. Still, if the writers want him to get stronger then I'm sure they'll come up with some excuse. It then becomes a matter of whether Buu is deserving of such consideration.

Despite his selection for the tournament, I don't think Buu has the support or intrigue as a character to warrant anything more than the nod of acknowledgement he's getting right now. Up until now there wasn't much attention given to Buu - some passing words of recognition from Frieza and his being categorically taken out at the same time with Mystic Gohan while fighting Beerus were about it. This latest arc feels like the climactic finish to what credibility his strength has left. Afterwards, he'll likely be phased out similar to everyone else who isn't Goku or Vegeta.

Physically i don't think he can get stronger either, But lets say he learns to speak and gets an iq of like 10 at least. He would then train to get his Ki levels higher. unlike in the games, Ki in dragon ball isn't just about energy attacks.. it literally is the power level of a character. i think that would be his training method. the fact he's all gummy and rubbery is a huge advantage to him as well. and he has crazy regen.
