Thala na Gethu!

That deserved better

In short, characters that fell short of acheiving that iconic spot.

For me its Netero, Rock Lee & L

1. Netero is a badass no doubt. But he was a character with tons of untapped potential.

His chronic brief backstory (in Chimera Ant Arc) didnt do justice for his legendary stature

But he has this "graceful" screen-presence which masks the flaws.

His underutilization in Last Mission was absolute puke inducing!

2. Lee is a workhorse like Tyson Kidd in WWE

His likable & funny characterization in Chuunin Exam was super addictive.

But was badass when required.

In fact, his fight with Gaara leagues almost any Nakamaboy fight, in which he stands on top an ugly a*** toad

Still, the way his character was brushed aside was insulting

3. L is a "weirdo"

Insane brilliance & wacky attitude. Thats all. He fits as foil to Kira (dangerously cunning & badass), but his overall "it" factor is lacking imo

Many felt DN fell off the cliff with death of this guy, but count me as one of da few who was thoroughly engaged with the whole Kira vs Near & Mello.

Even his death meant nothing to me, except the impressiveness in terms of narration (like super spy is killed & this 2 kids frm his foundation are taking over da fight).

Maybe it got to do with his seiyuu, that gave half-assed performance. Or the utter lack of relatable factor?

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.
