Ford has wanted Solo to die in every movie.

The movie was good but it felt a bit too much like a safe retread of Episode IV.

I agree on everything except for a few of your questions.
They're definetely leaving some to be answered in the sequel.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Important to remember that Kylo got shot in the thigh by Chewbacca. Pretty sure that would severely impair your combat ability. That's why even Finn could stand up to him for a bit.

Also from what we were shown, the blaster Chewbacca was using seems like it does some serious damage.

I considered that, but at the same time, it still doesn't put him in the best light.

I wouldn't blame them too much, the prequels are terrible and it was a safe bet which seem to pay off.

Is this good news or bad news that George Lucas is part of the writing team in VIII?

Goerge Lucas has a lot of good ideas. He just needs help putting them together properly. When he's part of a team who aren't afraid to say that something is a bad idea then we get Empire Strikes Back. It's only when he has 100% free reign that we get Attack of the Clones.

I don't hate the prequels as much as a few people because I feel like they got a lot of stuff right, such as lightsaber duels, character interactions and space battles. Some of the acting and the storylines were a bit meh, but not worthy of being called terrible.

Kylo Ren isn't some awesome sith ass-kicker, he's a rebellious brat who uses his mask to intimidate, doesn't fully understand the force, has childish temper tantrums, somewhat regrets turning the dark side, built a lightsaber that doesn't seem to work very well, and still needs help from Snoke, not to mention insecure. He has lots of room to improve. If he's underwhelming, it's because he's meant to be.

I love building PCs. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask. I can help you with almost any kind of PC you'd want to build.

It was stressed the whole movie that Ren was living in Vader's shadow, more or less.

Yeah, I can understand why people don't like him, but hating him for something that he's written like is kinda dumb. I thought Adam Driver did a great job portraying him, he was a good choice.

I have feeling he might be at the end. I'm hoping Snoke is

You think he'll actually stay gigantic? Nah man he's gonna be a midget. He's basically the dark side version of Yoda. That's the direction I believe it will go in. Instead of Luke fighting the darkside and Yoda giving him guidance to avoid it, we have Kylo fighting the lightside and Snoke giving him guidance to avoid it. It's a basic table flip.
