1. Hunter Hunter (2011)

MadHouse's slick animation with epic musical score gave me by far the most rewarding experience.

Episode 111 for instance. The build-up, Legend of Martial Artists OST & pitch-perfect pacing stands as testimonial for HXH (2011)'s success

Needless to say, the work "draw" me to read the manga after conclusion of the anime

Holy $hit!

Was disappointed as f*** as the manga felt like drawn by 5-year old (with due respect to Togashi)

And much trolled HiatusXHiatus tag attached to the author gave me the impression of "been there, done that" to HXH (2011)

2. Inuyasha (Original & Final Act)

Widely regarded as family show in Japan, I felt this was a "solid" show.

Wasn't great/groundbreaking or even okayish. Lacks "repeat value", was loooonnnng & suffered frm fillers.

But SunRise's beautiful animation & wonderful music was definetly note-worthy.

Manga had ideas. Sunrise mangnified them with their execution.

Characters with grey shades: Sesshoumaru, Kagura, Hakudoshi, Infant etc were particularly impressive in the Anime

3. Attack on Titan

The manga was so-so. I was hardly interested to even bother who's Eren

Anime was good. Action-sequences were fine, while "carnage" scenes were suitably gory

But felt it tries too hard in fit into the "epic" category by over-playing certain scenes.

Has some problems though

Eren remains obnoxious/borderline annoying lead (joins da elite Nakamboy :p)

Thoughts?

I think the anime for Claymore was a lot more interesting than the manga, even if it was way too short.

FMA:B's anime is better than the manga imo, but I'd understand why people might consider that controversial.

I preferred Beserk's anime to its manga. The manga did include a few things that weren't in the anime including a pretty major character. However it lacked the depth and drama of the anime. Plus it's always better to see people eviscerated on screen than it is on paper.

Bleach was brought to life on screen the way it never was on page. Not that that's saying much.
I love building PCs. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask. I can help you with almost any kind of PC you'd want to build.

I was about to include FMAB, but frankly Manga was superior

FMAB had top-notch animation (BONES) & great soundtrack (ANIPLEX), but sadly the series Director lacks required experience a Biggie as FMAB

Manga showed great sense of suspense (Father/Hohenhiem) character & sense of afventure

FMAB for 20+ episode was fu***ing slow
Ep 40 onwards was good & final few episodes were great

Just my two cents

Hunter x Hunter (2011) is generally better than the manga, though I have a few caveats. I think that Togashi's art style (when he was actually putting in effort and not scribbling) was a little more effective for some crucial scenes, especially emotional moments. Also the narration works a lot better in the manga, the Anime should have toned it down more.

Bleach without the filler is better than the manga for the most part too, though whether you think it's fair to exclude filler when judging quality is up to you.

The narration was asymal in both manga & anime

I've read at a leading MPH Bookstore the KEY difference to manga & other work is the "ability to depict/show/portray/express the feelings of character via drawing"

It also adds that if ur thinkin of word bubbles etc, perhaps manga isnt the apt choice for the reader

Now, Togashi does the "narration" part exccesively, esp so in Chimera.A Arc

Anime is worse

The narrator has a very bland voice (akin narrator of YYH) who gives monotonous, sometimes details right IN FRONT of ur eyes.

Like "Kono toki" : At this moment, sweat drops from Pitou's sweat gland, located 40 inch above Pitou's submandibular gland.

Yugioh. The DOMA Arc is one of the best parts of Yugioh and it was only in the anime. The anime also has a far more epic final fight when compared to the manga.

The Yugioh GX Anime was better than the manga too, mostly because the story was completely different

I have yet to find an anime that's superior to the manga, mostly because amazing anime adaptions end far too soon or branch off in a different direction that I don't enjoy as much. For example, Claymore. The anime could have been better than the manga had it continued instead of branching off in such a ridiculous direction.

My Dear Melancholy,

I don't read manga really but from the very few I've read.

Dbz Kai > the manga
DB > Part 1 of the manga

That's all I got =\.

My personal experiences

Elfen lied manga > elfen lied anime

Hokuto no ken manga > hokuto no ken anime

Souten no ken manga > souten no ken anime

Gantz manga > gantz anime

Rurouni Kenshin manga > ruroken anime

The manga are casually better, since the anime is a manga adaptation

I like Pokémon

I prefer the AoT anime to the manga (at least so far), it's a bit slow paced as 25 episodes covered about 8 volumes but I still prefer it and enjoy it much more than the manga.
