Anyway as for the episode...not sure why people hype Boros up saying he survived a punch...
That wasn't a punch, Saitama was playing around wanting Boros to get serious.

But he did survive the punch,If Saitama really lived up to his title he would have killed him no matter what level he is at.

What do you mean PIS? Him being invincible was a given from the start. This isn't a fighting series, this is a parody of a fighting series. Don't forget that.
PIS = Plot Induced Stupidity

Saitama is basically synonymous with that, he's just there to one-shot every main villain. It doesn't matter if this is a parody, no story has characters like these because any writer knows something like this is stupid, Saitama is both a bad plot device and a predictable Deus Ex Machina. Who finds predictable bad comedy to be funny?

Again by that logic Hammerhead is strong as f***, no? They both had armour on and for both of them Saitama wasn't trying to kill them.

His power isn't to one hit kill things he is just immensely strong and clearly has pretty absolute control over his strength, considering he didn't annihilate Genos or Hammerhead.

His title is that he only needs one punch to destroy everything(so far) not that no matter what he does they die, if he wants to just give them a light tap it doesn't refute his title at all.

That'd be like saying Sonic doesn't live up to his name because he doesn't constantly move at or above the speed of sound.

I know what PIS means, but I'm wondering how it exists in this universe, especially relating to Saitama. Saitama is anything but a plot device. He's the entire premise of the story. The "plot", at least the way you're seeing it, is not the point. The fighting is not the point, at all. This is not a fighting series, the fighting (especially the question of who's going to win) is not what's important, it's simply a way to frame the story, which is Saitama. The guy with the most boring life ever in the most exciting world ever, and everything we see, from the ridiculous over-the-top heroes and villains, to the fight scenes is meant to explore that premise.

Main villains? There are no "villains" in this series. They're all laughable caricatures that no one could take seriously, and that you're not meant to take seriously.

This is a not a series about heroes fighting villains, this is a story of a guy living in a world where heroes fight villains, desperately wishing he could actually be a part of it. If you don't like that, then criticize that, but you're criticizing this show as if it's a shonen fighting series.

Fair enough, I'll accept that point of view. It is futile to argue about something like this.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Great episode, Boros got rekt.

Poor Saitama looked so disappointed, he still has no challenger...

Read the manga up until the end of the episode, it's weird what things they changed around but I'd definitely say it's a great adaptation overall, wouldn't say it's better or worse but equal just slightly different.

Amai Mask is one shady dude.

I hope they announce the second season too gonna be real hard not to just read it which I'm not really fond of not enough happens per manga chapter, especially during a fight. The art is amazing but I'm not waiting a week for what would be like 10 seconds of anime.

Not necessarily, i believe he had physical traits that allow him to survive stuff most others can't.

Izanagi!

It was confirmed that Saitama was holding back too.

Also, Boros' attack was going to 'blast Saitama and the Planet to hell'.

Overall, amazing episode! Was so hyped when they started playing the OP as they were fighting in the ship.

Yeah that was great, I was wondering where the opening was and then it kicked in.

Apparently Madhouse done this series with an average budget, not a bad job God damn.

I hope they release the full OST and don't cut the best tracks like most seem to, desperately need the real version of:

Boros' attack is weird in some translations it says the "planet surface" some says just the planet but then the attack is "Planet Busting" something or other so...who the f*** knows

That jump was epic, I was thinking they might f*** that up by making it really really slow.

That was the first episode I've watched and it was really good. The fights were great and the humor made me chuckle a bunch.

Pretty disappointing finale in my opinion.

We only saw Saitama fighting and it was a pretty boring fight. We all knew he was going to win, and the other characters did absolutely nothing. Only Silver Fang's lines with him being rusty made me laugh a bit.

Manga says that it could destroy the surface of the planet

Original webcomic says it would wipe saitama off the face of the planet. No planet level attack here

A fight gets boring(or more or less the entire series becomes boring) when the main character is just there to have no equal and look or sound OP when he isn't. Parody or not, even with the secondary characters that don't help a lot, the show might look pretty, but it's pretty boring. Why would I have high standars for anime when I haven't seen that many?

Yeah but the attack is called Planet Busting Roar or something so the different translations make it confusing, plus Boros was said to have destroyed several planets?

What anime have you seen that are good in all regards then Darker? Feel like you've been seeing OPM the wrong way really.
