Though potentially he could just have escaped rather than destroyed it. I just love how this series throws all the tropes out there and then steps on them, like that one dude Saitama killed. In most series he'd have taken up a few minutes of time despite being weak as s***. Then there's the House of Evolution, in every other series they'd have had to go through all those floors of traps but nope Genos wrecks that place Great how it parodies all that kind of stuff but is still it's own series.

Best part of series so far is when the cyclist of justice is fighting the sea lord. I couldn't stop laughing for a long time. Funniest anime scene I've seen in a long time.

There aren't many massive fights with Saitama since he's not even trying yet, so you might think it's going to be boring but there are tons of cool side characters that fill in gaps like that. The only fault I guess is that it's pretty episodic for the most part but it's not like it's supposed to be about aliens with big plans to take over the world, they get wrecked. I heard that the main theme of this part is "What it means to be a hero" Despite being so strong Saitama has no f***ing clue Quote: Best part of series so far is when the cyclist of justice is fighting the sea lord. That was incredible. I seen people getting hyped for Mumen Rider but I did not expect that... Figured he'd be weak but immortal or something. It's interesting how he's like the epitome of heroic justice, the complete opposite to Saitama. He'd easily be the ultimate hero if he had Saitama's strength.

I'm not supposed to take this seriously, am I? Edit: And he sounds like Freeza... Don't tell me it's the same voice actor... Edit 2: With that form, he really reminds me of Superman's foe Parasite. Edit 3: First episode was pretty cool, but Saitama himself is pretty boring. I understand the reason as to why he's so emotionless, but still, that kind of characterization usually only works on silent characters or machines. I would've enjoyed a superhero with a challenge. A Superman-esque character who seems unbeatable like the classic character isn't suited for modern times. The villains were pretty entertaining, but they didn't get enough screen time. Edit 4: So this guy can't catch a mosquito? I don't see how people say he's super powerful if he can't do that. It's not THAT difficult. Edit 5: "Since you spoke, I thought you would have at least human-level intelligence." This guy must've never watched Star Wars. Edit 6: Episode 2 was alright. Not as entertaining as the first one, in my opinion. Genos can shoot fire out of his hands... And he's a cyborg/robot/whatever... Cool, I guess... Edit 7: Ep. 3 was also alright. Edit 8: Ep. 4 was also alright. Maybe less than the previous one. Edit 9: Ep. 5 was slightly more entertaining than the previous ones, still not as good as Ep. 1, though. Edit 10: Ep. 6 was even better. Maybe because there was no Saitama, but even though that's not necessarily bad, it's still not a good sign. Edit 11: Ep. 7 was even better. A little bit predictable, but that's alright. Edit 12: They just keep getting better and better. Episode 8 has the best and most entertaining villain so far. Edit 13: You can do it Kamen Rider! Er, I mean... whatever your name was. But I mean come on. It's way easier to reference Kamen Rider because he was and still is the s*. A shame the best villain so far got taken out with just one punch. I wanted something more entertaining. Unlike many other PIS characters, Saitama is pretty boring when he comes in for the kill. It's so emotionless, I felt more with that Kamen Rider-wannabe "fight". Edit 14: 9 freaking episodes. That's what it took for the writers to realize that emotionless Saitama was one boring character. They finally decided to develop him a little more. Edit 15: OH s* RUUUN, IT'S GODZILLAAAAA Why did no one tell me this anime had a kaiju, I love those guys! This dude looks pretty darn bad-ass. Edit 16: Another cool villain that gets dispatched way too quickly. Goddamnit. But hot damn, Saitama has already made me laugh twice (Ep10) and I'm not even 10 minutes in. Episode 10 was the best one so far. I hope Ep11 lives up to the hype, because that cliffhanger pissed me off unlike most. Edited by Darker, Dec 10 2015, 07:02 PM.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	Yeah there are tons of parody characters in it, Bang is Netero and Zeno from HxH combined, confirmed by author I think. Quite a few nice little homages like that in the series, good how it doesn't just rip them off it's pretty much design and personality only like the dude with the baseball bat in episode 10, completely and utterly early series Yusuke Uramaeshi I hope they announce that they're going to definitely do a season 2 fairly soon, gonna be hard not to read the mango.

It's basically just an anime with old comic book and manga cliches. If anything One Punch Man should be parodying good cliches that never get old despite being ridiculous, like Spidey's origin.

So far there's been no bulls* power ups for heroes once they're done they're seriously f*ing done and Saitama has to save the day, Mumen Rider didn't get strength out of nowhere and actually injure the Sea King he stayed extremely weak. Cliché's make everything wayy too predictable and while we know how virtually every fight with Saitama is going to end everything in between isn't nearly so obvious. Plus it's a Madhouse anime, probably one of the best studios out there when it comes to animation really, just look at my sig. Compare it to the likes of the lolworthy Studio Pierrot's awful Naruto Shippuden and Madhouse is certainly God tier.

It's just the fact that they're making fun of superheroes, but not enough. That bugs me, because it seems like this could be the perfect superhero parody. I don't like clichés either, but still, they're necessary for a parody like these. And random power-ups? What are you referring to?
