Is there anything that you think is worth killing a person for? For me it's immortality. The prison sentence would be nothing. |

No. Life is the most valuable thing one can have. Immortality's pretty far away from being reached by mankind. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Plenty things for me, immortality, revenge for a loved one, to protect someone, special powers of some sort, world peace, to save the world etc etc Choice of killing a person over the world being blown up then the choice is simple. A singular person isn't worth all the life on the planet no matter who they are. |

Yes. If you know for certain that you can kill one person to save multiple other lives, then I think that's worth it. I'm honestly not sure what the lowest amount of lives saved would be to make it worth it though. Sort of similar to the first one, if someone is trying to kill somebody else and the only way to stop them is to kill them, I think that's worth it. |

"Then you've got the chance to do better next time." "Next time?" "Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is."

Self-defence (or defending someone else from an aggressor). I suppose in a situation where killing someone would save multiple lives but that ones a nightmare morally, especially if the person being killed is completely innocent. Killing anyone for any kind of personal gain is pretty disgusting in my book tbh. |

Yeah gets more and more complicated the less people are being saved in exchange. I think if it got to like 1 vs 10-100 I'd definitely be asking more about this 1 person to make sure what choice is right, maybe the 10-100 are scummy prisoners or people who will never amount to anything and the 1 is a world class surgeon who's saved many lives and would continue to do so. And then of course family and friends would make it more difficult in general but my mother vs all life on Earth, sad as it would be without question I'd sacrifice my mother. I'm sure most would do that really. |

Survival is the big one here and sort covers most justifiable reasons. Then of course their is protecting other people. Sadly, no matter how horrific the act, an extreme corner case scenario can be imagined that can justify doing said act. Sometimes to the point of it being unrealistically extreme. |

Worth it? Like worth the consequences? Or what? There are circumstances where I'm willing to kill someone. Example, touch my daughter, I actually WILL cut your entrails out. Then hang you with them. Is that proportionate? In my mind yes, in the mind of others no. Of course I believe there's a special place in hell for people that harm children and they should be ushered there quickly and efficiently. Now is anything WORTH a life? Especially a human one? I don't think there's any material possession or ideology that's worth that. I do believe there are situations in which killing a man must be done. That doesn't make it OK, but I can understand why it has to happen in those cases. |
