(Mature and informant discussion, please) Why do some people have a much stronger willpower than others? How strong is YOUR willpower? Do you do daily willpower exercises? Anything and everything about willpower, please discuss. |

Mine fluctuates a hell of a lot depending on the situation. If it involves my self esteem typically I give up easy, like with exercise "What's the point I'll never manage anyway" But then it's indomitable when it comes to being stubborn about things like if I need help and/or are injured I'll hobble along home even if other family are way closer, despite health risks. Or with friends I don't really give up on them if they're facing issues. |

People have varying levels of willpower because everyone is different. Different personalities and different life experiences would make for different levels of willpower. My own willpower is pretty poor. I struggle with the whole 'doing something you don't want to do/not doing something you want to do' thing. I find it very hard to justify that (something I need to work on), so unless something pops up that ignites some motivation e.g. something wrong with my teeth, I'll eat less sugary foods, if I feel really fat, I'll eat less, I usually don't have much willpower/self-discipline to speak of. Like I said earlier, definitely something that I'm looking to improve upon in my life. |

"Then you've got the chance to do better next time." "Next time?" "Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is." | |
