If you travelled back in time and managed to stop the Nazi holocaust, what would be the consequences?

First of all obviously you have over six million people still alive and living in Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia ect. These people will multiply meaning today's Earth population is much higher.

Secondly and probably even more important is that you would probably prevent the creation of Israel. Correct me if I'm wrong but I recall that the Jewish holocaust was what led to Jews settling in Palestine. It's really difficult to say how different that region might be if you remove Israel. Or even the whole world actually. Having a state like that in an area that is lets face it, quite backwards socially acts as a kind of buffer. In other words it prevents us having a completely Muslim middle east. Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with Islam. However I do take issue with a religion dominating a region's political landscape. I believe without Israel then we would have much more of an Us vs Them attitude similar to when the Soviet Union existed. I'm not a fan of Israel's policies on Palestine by any means but having the pro western state there seems to level the playing field a bit.

Maybe there wont be any Israel by now, or maybe Europe d just have more population. There might be other small differences, as a possible new inventor ...producer, actor ...

That's a point I was trying to remember but couldn't. Yes of all those people who died, we might have had another Einstein or Newton. On the other hand, it's possible that some very evil or potentially dangerous people were killed too. Or people who would father evil people.

I believe the Jews went to Israel because there were already small Jewish populations living over there in what was then called Palestine.
We might've had a united Palestine where Christians, Jews and Muslims lived peacefully together as Jews would never be seen as evil by many Muslims.
In fact, the Middle East itself could possibly be more peaceful. A large reason why many radical Muslims joined groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS is because the creation of Israel (and therefore eradication of Palestine) was seen as a large injustice committed by the western world.

Well, I think Skin heads wouldn't be seen in as poorly a light. Initially, im.sure there would be a lot of generalized racism with those guys but still.

There were already a huge ton of Jews living in Israel at the time, it's not like they arbitrarily picked a random spot to create Israel for no reason.

I also think that all the radicals in that region would find something else to kill people for if there weren't any Jews there.
