I think it makes sense, they're adults. Some times people just want to screw each other even if the relationship was never about that. But damn it would have been cold! Can Jared Leto's Joker be even half as good as Mark Hamil's...probably not. Looks like they're tried to just make him as psychotic as possible and nothing else. |

Two adults with a relationship where one acts as a guardian? No that's wrong. It's both similar to a teacher having an affair with their student or at worst a step father doing it with his step child.

Yeah. And they're like 20 years apart from each other. Movie still sucks. Gives The Killing Joke a bad name. As for Leto, at least he's not Ledger. |

What bearing does age have on attraction? 20 years isn't much, not when you're talking a buff manbeast and a hot young girl. Batman is like the ultimate sugar daddy. Teacher and students get it on all the time, people just do things like that. It doesn't matter if it's weird it happens and I find it cool how they added that human touch. That said the first half hour of the movie certainly felt like filler. Overall it was okay. Jokers origin story...left much to be desired. At least, how it was presented in the movie. Was just kind of "is that it...?" Joker would not last long in the world of Berserk. |

You're serious. I feel like you're ignoring Batman and Batgirl's characters just for the sake of benefiting whatever nonsense you just said. It's not human, It's creepy. As if Batgirl being used as an object by one of the villains and being fooled around like a very generic and cliched dumb teenager wasn't enough, Batman would never have sex. Ever. Especially not with a 20-something-year old girl. He's in his 40s, and she shouldn't have the hots for him either. This is almost incest, because Batman's not only some sort of father figure to her, he's sorta of her uncle. You know, Comissioner Gordon? Batman's best friend when it comes to crime fighting in Gotham? Barbara's father? Yeah, that scene was both random and unnatural. |

So is a student and teacher having sex and so is incest but it happens, being random and unnatural is what makes it seem more realistic. Humans aren't always predictable and writing that isn't predictable can be good too. Seems most people didn't care for it but that's the risk they took. Does Marvel even do animated movies much now? I never really hear about them on movie sites. It's surprising that Disney doesn't jump on that an make tons. |

Fiction is quite different from reality in that fiction needs a reason for the insane random events to happen, hell even in real life when your trace the roots with the crazy thing that happened turns to be very likely. We didn't expect the twin towers but in retrospect it's clear this was a failure of American policy and we've had plenty chances to stop this, as well as having somewhat laid the foundation. Also isn't Batman practically her God-Father or adoptive uncle? This may not be incest specifically, but it's certainly in the same territory as adopted siblings you've known for a long time, or teacher and student. Batman may not be the most stable but this is a move that I could only really imagine Miller Batman doing. Even someone like Bruce Wayne should know you don't have sex with your best friend's (or even just regular friend's) daughter. Not to mention this really doesn't help fix the original problem of making Barbara an object in that story, if anything it kind of makes it worse. Also writing that's surprising can be good, but that varies greatly, and if it's done wrong, it just looks random. You don't want to random, surprising sure, but not random. And in any case this is still disgusting, like Batman having sex with his Robins ew, any of the ones even if they're legal. Edited by Tinny, Aug 3 2016, 12:48 AM.

But it's hardly that out there... Doesn't Barbara say in the movie that she's been with him like 3 years? EDIT yes she does, nearly 3 years. And it's hardly "insane random" when Barbara hinted at romantic feelings multiple times before they done it. Referring to Bats as a yoga guy to her co-worker and clearly having the hots for him. Who does that when they think of someone as an uncle or whatever? It made sense within the movie, even if it's a bit weird. Just because it's weird doesn't mean it couldn't happen, should it? Maybe not but it could and in this case it did and it wasn't that random. As for the object-ness yeah kind of s***ty especially considering it seems like Joker also did...stuff. I was hopeful until the marketing for it got ridiculous. I doubt it's as bad as Rotten Tomatoes makes it out to be but it seems like the Suicide Squad itself is basically just a superhero group, not actual villains. Reckon they should have waited before doing it, get people more invested in the verse. I doubt most people knew who half the characters are. Really though, casting Jai Courtney was probably the biggest mistake. |

Actually he's not bad in it at all. The biggest mistake seems to be a problem with the production in general. Too much stuff left on the cutting room floor and poor editing overall. |

Yeah it seems like it might have been a decent movie but when they saw the reactions to BvS they messed it up. I think they should have stuck to their guns, don't turn it in to funny Marvel movies because that's what people like make people like DC for different reasons. I'm just hoping Justice League still retains some seriousness. I don't need Batman dancing like Star Lord in GoG in my life. The Batman movie should have come before Suicide Squad, they should have put more faith in Batfleck though to be fair the audience didn't have much faith so it would be a big risk, however it would have paid off given his performance. Hopefully they ditch Snyder soon dude needs to work on his ideas. |

I think he's alright just his movies are a bit "samey" now. Anyone seen a recent horror movie that's actually scary? Just watched The Forest and not one part in it was scary really. And I'm the sort of guy that runs to bed when I put the light off in case demons get me. At the point where I might just watch sick movies like Human Centipede since they at least might get a reaction. |
