Dark Tower comes out on Tuesday. I'm torn. To I ignore this because the movie is a terrible adaptation, or do I buy as a fan just to have it? Jake's mom is a total babe and was the best part of watching it. Honestly I didn't hate the movie but there were plenty of poor elements to it.

I think the decent acting prowess from the cast makes it worth buying it.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Cast was largely good. I thought the Low Men and small glimpses of Mid-World were well done.

The special effects were also okay.

Aye. Unfortunately the effects budget seemed to have ran out during the final fight.

I liked how speedy the Man in Black was. Catching bullets with your bare hands is always a cool concept.

That was all fine. It's when he got knocked on his a** by the ladder that it became silly imo. He can catch bullets but can't dodge some debris? That's lazy.

Hey, you never know when debris is gonna fall down faster than the speed of sound on you.

No I do not. But very unbecoming of The Man in Black to fall for such a Looney Tunes level trick.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Ah yeah superpowers are so rarely handled well on screen. Particularly when speed is involved.

Just invent some macguffin that hits them faster than they move, rather than pretending someone who can fly at mach 20 would ever be hit by a car doing 60mph.

I want to see more movies that involve superpowers but aren't really about them or superheroes, more unconventional movies would be great.
Stuff like Unbreakable and Looper that is, it's cool when superpowers are just kind of secondary.

Maybe a movie like say SAW but where the person who's been captured actually happens to have super strength and breaks out of the contraption, to hunt down their would-be killer.

Funny you say that, Pelador and I were talking about a Batman/Jigsaw crossover yesterday.

Now that's a good idea for a crossover. I assume it would be the original Jigsaw and not one of his jabroni apprentices?

Yeah anything like that would be really cool.

Or even supernatural horror movies involving ghosts/demons and stuff versus someone with superspeed.

Final Destination vs The Flash

Apparently the next Terminator is going to get rid of all this timeline BS, thank God there's at least a microscopic sliver of hope for the film.

I hope it crashes and burns though, the whole franchise needs a hard reboot. Get Arnie out, he's had his day.
*obligatory use Idris Elba for everything claim*

Really though why is such a good series being wasted.

All I wanted was for Salvation to be the start of a new series, it wasn't the best but it'd have been awesome to see some future stuff.

Would it, though? Especially considering most of Batman's smarter villains pull off similar if not almost the same sort of traps?

Granted, I'd love to see/hear (depending if it's a comic or a movie) some of Kramer's dialogues wih Batman, and maybe amp Jigsaw a little more so he can be a plausible threat to Batman beyond a master mechanic. Because really, the only thing Jigsaw has beyond his traps are his sleeve-knives and his bulletproof vest. A little extra skill would be nice, or at least have a younger, less experienced Batman.

I also modified this idea to have some of Batman's lamer villains being Jigsaw's victims, because any of his crazier ones would pass the tests rather easily or break through those metals wall 'til they found Jigsaw (nevermind the fact that it'd be kinda hard to buy how Jigsaw captured some of them).

*MCU hit itself in confusion*

Seriously, how and why do you turn Black Widow in to a comedy focused character? I do hope this isn't true.

She has an incredibly dark backstory, a young girl being tortured in to being an assassin is hardly comedy material.

Oh oh! That funny bit where they destroy her womb or whatever so she can't have kids, hilarious!

Because we know her story and it’s very sullen and very dark and her history is very dark. But! What’s the funny version of that? What’s the more entertaining version of that?

Funny = more entertaining?
