Did you see the infinity war trailer from comic on months ag? (Leaked, but still)

The trailer is completely played straight and shows just how much of a threat thanos (heck, the guy is a bloody powerhouse XD)
Anyways, I hope that JL does good

DC movies have disappointed me for the most part (Wonder Woman aside). I have faith in it, but I probably won't end up seeing it in theaters
I haven't since I want a good quality one.

I don't hold much stock in their trailers(or any really) since they tend to be better than the movie:

Trailer= Epic Ultron, easily best MCU villain
Actuality= Regular joke cracking crappy MCU villain that has like one good line

I want Infinity War to be amazing but I'm not very optimistic, especially since there's supposed to be like 60+ characters in it, guarantee they'll be like "s***, every character needs at least one funny!"
On the other hand if Infinity War is actually pretty dark and has some actual stakes to it, characters actually dying, that pretty much fixes the MCU for me.

Can see Doctor Strange swooping in and timey wimey'ing everything back to normal though.

I'm not sure using Ultron is a fair comparison so much as comparing directors

Russo Brothers

Winter Soldier Trailers- Serious movie
Civil War Trailers- Serious movie

One movie was directed by Joss Whedon, a guy known for adding quips and humour to his Marvel movies

The other movies are directed by the Russos, two men who have, evidently, always kept a serious tone throughout their Marvel movies

Heck, the man Kevin Feige himself even stated that these next 4 movies (From Ragnarok to Ant-Man) all have their own uniqueness to them.

Just gotta have a little faith my brotha

All you need to know about Steppenwolf is that he's got a massive and powerful axe, is one of Apokolips' fiercest generals and is also Darkseid's uncle.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I hope they avoid taking Steppenwolf into generic Ronin territory. He's a cool villain but it is way to easy to make him a dumb brute who growls sinister one-liners. Then he gets defeated by the power of friendship.

Caught up with Mr Robot, watched the rest of Season 2. That cafe scene was absolutely fantastic, supreme TV.

I think you meant Ronan, as in Ronan the Accuser, not the masterless samurai?

Jigsaw was quite good. I'd smash the s*** out of Laura Vandervoort.

I thought it was spelled the same, but yes, that's who I meant, hense the pronoun usage.

Yeah I worry he won't get enough character since they have to introduce Cyborg, Aquaman and Flash among everything else...

Best bet would be to have him show up early in the movie, the build up should be towards the whole team being formed rather than a slow build to the action like the other films.

That's exactly how I want the movie to go.

And given Steppenwolf's introduction in the trailer, I'd like to think that's how it's going to go and I'm very happy.

What has me worried is how much are they going to focus on Steppenwolf versus treating him like a minion used only to set up Darkseid. Plans for further DC movies were pretty much scrapped and WB is taking it one film at a time now. So I'm hoping all the reshoots that they did when Whedon came aboard are for helping to flesh him out as a solo villain, with minimal foreshadowing of who he's working for.

I think the Omega symbol should be enough for Batman to go "wait I saw that in my dream, is there something else coming?".

People are apparently loving Thor: Ragnarok and the humor in it. Also, Jeff Goldblum can do no wrong so he is automatically fantastic as Grandmaster.
