Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

How are they getting cocky? Justice League has been slated to release around then for ages.

It'll no doubt get worse reviews but there's pretty clear bias there, Thor 3 has tons of 100% reviews even though it's not out yet.
And come on, 100%? Doubt it. Every movie has faults.

Clark and Lex was definitely the best part of Smallville. I agree most of the action was lacking. So were the effects. It came off as a generic tv show in that sense, but the Clark/Lex dynamic was always going strong and I felt that the foreshadowing of their relationship to come came across and very strong and tilled with the right amount of tension. But I also bought their friendship too and that made the whole thing work for me.

It's not at 100%, just 98% now (which, after 50 reviews, IS pretty impressive overallconsidering it usually drops IIRC)

How are they getting cocky?
Because it's almost a trend with WarnerBros to risk it like this.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

They did try to put Batman v Superman head to head with Winter Soldier before backing out at the last minute, so yeah, they do have a track record of playing chicken with their releases.

The early showing of Thor Ragnarok is very good. Thor is very funny and the chemistry between Thor and Hulk is the star of the movie. Anyways the movie is released in Nov 3rd.

I think MCU has done very well for themselves, but I do hope they are envisioning an ending to it. They can't just keep going forever.

Especially given how formulaic it is.

Yeah the formula is really kinda dull, I hope they mix up some of the future movies but I'm sure they'll go for a "If it ain't broke don't make any effort to improve it" approach.

Why try when you can just do Iron Man's origin over and over and still make bang.

After the new trailer still not excited for Black Panther. It just doesn't feel like it fits in the Earth section of the verse.

Apparently Phantom Thread is Daniel Day Lewis' last movie, that's sad.
I'm even more sad that it's not my kind of movie. Be a shame to see him leave the acting world.

Day-Lewis is a very particular actor. Almost everything he does he does perfectly.

Just saw Thor Ragnarok and whilst it wasn't by any means terrible, I wish they'd kept a more consistent tone. They didn't need nearly as many gags. I'm not sure why they felt the film needed that much humour. Especially given the plot of the film is Thor trying to prevent an Armageddon. I definitely think it went over board with the comedy. Which by the way, led to a great character being ruined for comedy's sake.

Now I'm definitely glad me and the gf decided our winter cinema visit is Justice League.

Why the hell do they keep doing this? We don't watch these movies for the damn comedy, every time one comes out people complain there's a bit too much but they do it anyway.

Guardians of the Galaxy can somewhat be forgiven but it still tried way too hard.

Not that any of the comedy was ever all that natural but now it's just forced, EVERY single scene needs to be funny and it just ruins any emotional moment.
*someone just died*
*fart joke*
Dammit MCU, let the sad moments be sad...

Yeah I'm definetely not watching Thor Ragnarok, I'm about done with what they're doing with Hulk, and I already know they shat over Hela as well.

The comedy routine works in Guardians because it is its own franchise and established as that way. Turning Thor on its head to also be a comedy, especially in a story with high stakes, feels forced.

I thought Hela was actually really cool. It was Grandmaster and Korg they ruined most of all.
