I enjoyed Arrow for the first two seasons because it held itself to a more grounded tone. After that, more and more heroes started joining the fray and things got a bit ridiculous for me. Still, season one and two are very solid.

Inhumans speaks for itself lol.

These shows could've been good if the guys in charge were fans of the stuff they were working on, but you can tell from afar they aren't.

Though I should probably go ask my comic book buddies in discord what they thought of the show.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Geoff Johns is involved with Flash and Arrow if I'm not mistaken. Joss Whedon is supposedly involved with AoS but I think he just did the first episode and then split.

I'm struggling to remember any of Geoff's works.

I'm not sure he's good news though.

He's been with DC forever. Written for just about every character they have. He doesn't have any notable runs that leap out to me like others do, so there's some quantity over quality with him. A couple stories on his credit include Black Adam and Isis, and Superman Last Son of Krypton (which he wrote with Richard Donner and I quite enjoyed).

He is definitely old guard for DC and maybe not the young, fresh face you would want, but the guy knows his comics.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I'd say they translate comics to TV pretty well, it still has to be a functional TV show after all.

The best thing is how easily they include stuff like magic, multi-verses and time travel. They didn't really dick about with it like the MCU "It's not magic it's science...actually there's magic as well nevermind"

Speaking of the CW I wonder what Black Lightning will be like?

Apparently it's not initially going to be part of Arrowverse at all. I'd imagine the showrunners might change that eventually but being separate sounds interesting.
Hopefully they have a good CG budget for that one.

Already talked with my comic book buds.

That is definetely not true at all.

Smallville was pretty good for a comic to tv show, although they had the ability to take a lot of liberties. I enjoyed much of it.

I mean Smallville is kind of a rare pearl. Not really an adaptation so much as it's its own take on Superman on his younger years. As far as I can remember, it was a good show with next to no equals as far as live-action superheroes shows went back then.

The other one that comes to mind right now is the 90s Flash show.

Eh Smallville's action was kind of terrible from what I remember just the special effects were pretty decent at the time.

Arrowverse has some awesome fights in it, a lot of fights in Arrow itself can feel samey but the big ones are good.

I still say they do a good job, especially at keeping it all contained. As in everyone is appropriately strong for the verse, Supergirl can't push planets about in comparison to everyone else so it makes sense that other characters can even remotely challenge her.

Flash vs Arrow is kind of BS though but then he's not all that fast, which can be dumb at times but if he was as fast as comic Flash absolutely everything else would need to be amped up to contend and every small character would become irrelevant.

Smallville shined where it intended to shine at.

Obviously Doomsday and Darkseid weren't gonna be as good as they should've, because they weren't supposed to be there to begin with.

Flash's speed gets nerfed and amped whenever he needs to. That goes for pretty much every incarnation, comics included. In some instances the CW Flash is not that impressive, other times he REALLY is.

Can DCEU get a break? Justice League is releasing in November, the same time period as Thor 3 and in one month later, Star Wars Ep 8. DC is screwed.

Smallville didn't have too many good fights, though there were some encounters between Clark and Lex that were really good, especially when Zod was occupying Lex's body.

Smallville had great characters and decent acting. Michael Rosenbaum is, imo, the greatest Lex Luthor to date.

With the success of Wonder Woman, I imagine WB is getting cocky.
