Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

Future Gohan?

CG Gohan?

Ultimate Gohan?

Who do you think is the most skilled?
We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.

Fantastic Gohan by virtue of really having the most knowledge out of all of them, though frankly there's probably not much of a difference between CG Gohan and Ultimate Gohan other than the fact that the former sat on his butt for 20 hours. It should be noted though that unlike the anime (which may have brought it up) in the manga, Gohan in the Boo Arc is only noted to have lost a lot of power but his fighting skills themselves are never questioned IIRC.

Is there really much difference between these iterations? They all trained to some degree. Granted, they each have a distinct trait which separates them from each other. Future Gohan probably has better survival skills since he grew up in an apocalyptic world where the cyborgs reigned supreme. Gohan at the Cell Games was arguably at his fighting prime, what with having come out from the RoSaT after training with his father. The most disadvantaged might be Mystic Gohan since he hasn't had much time to regain the edge he had 7 years ago. He does have a better understanding on how to use a longsword, but then we already saw Gohan training with weapons back when he was still in the wilderness.

I think it would be a tossup between Future Gohan and CG Gohan. The former has more experience and has been hardened over the years by the constant battles he's endured with the cyborgs while the latter trained with Goku for almost four years altogether.

Honestly even though we aren't shown much, CG gohan survived the androids for 13 years whilst confronting them many times despite being severely weaker. So taking on 2 opponents margionally stronger than you and surviving has him as the most skilled in my mind.

I'm not sure if I can call Future Gohan all that skilled. While he may have more experience in surviving the environment, he also doesn't have much of the teachings the other Gohan has. This one didn't get 3 years of training with Goku and Piccolo to prepare for the cyborgs or an entire year devoted to the ROSAT and you can see a huge difference there as well.

What took Future Gohan 8 or so years to get to a level that...may have been around SSJ Goku on Namek, Kid Gohan trains 3 years+1 ROSAT and his base form alone probably puts Future GOhan at his best in the dust, not to mention gaining SSJ along the way. It goes to show that when Gohan has an actual training partner, be it Piccolo or Goku, he makes some massive gains along the way.

He literally jumped up nearly 1000x in 2 years just by training in the wilderness with Piccolo.

At this point, not only does Future GOhan not have the anywhere near the same gains of power as CG Gohan, he doesn't have the same knowledge either. All of his stuff is practically self taught and self taught isn't the same as having an actual teacher who knows what their preaching.

Gohan = skill?

Really?

Every version of Gohan has been hilarious when it comes to skill, with possible exception of Chibi Gohan (Namek Saga)

Other than that, meh

None of them, Ultimate gohan is the same as teen gohan who had less skill than Videl.

CG gohan was stronger but skillwise the same.

Gohan was not of a skill master.

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

Cell Games Gohan, imo.

Goku stated during Gohan's fight with Dabra that his fighting skill had clearly weaned because Gohan wasn't fighting good. Vegeta even noticed the same thing considering that he became impatient with Gohan taking so long to get the job done, and I don't think that swinging a sword around and then sitting for hours on end would've done anything to him skill-wise.

Future Gohan suggested that he wasn't in full control of his Super Saiyan transformation because Gohan stated that he needed to think of something that got him pissed in order to transform; suggesting that his Super Saiyan was actually a result of his hidden ki being released. He also likely didn't know the Kamehameha, because there's no evidence of Gohan knowing it before his training with Goku in the ROSAT; which would've occurred after Goku's death in Trunks's time line.

Gohan went from next to no skill as a 4 1/2 year old when he first got took on as a Student by Piccolo.

And experienced years of constant training and fighting.

The year training with the Saiyans on his own and with Piccolo, learning most of the basic - semi complex skills.
Fighting the Saiyans, fighting against Frieza's Soldiers and against Frieza himself likely all gradually honed his fighting sense a little bit at a time.
Then 3 years of mostly straight training with both Goku and Piccolo, likely honed his fighting skill A LOT, compared to what we've seen of Gohan from fighting Frieza and before, but we don't really see that version of Gohan fight outside of saving Piccolo from Dr Gero.
He then further built on that skill with 1 year of intensive training with Goku in the Time Chamber.
Gohan here at the Cell Games is likely at his peak skill wise, probably almost as skilled as all the other highly skilled fighters, a skill master at this point.
Then he lost a bit of skill/battle sense over the time skip.
The thing is, if you do 1 year of straight training becoming more skilled. You won't loose that skill in 1 year of not training. It takes longer to loose skills that you gained in relation to the time it takes to gain them.
So after the time skip, which is 7 years, Gohan is probably maybe around his Android Saga self, or maybe the level he was at during the 3 years of training for the Androids, but more skilled than he was when he fought Frieza.

In the Buu Arc, in skill it goes something like this I think:

1: Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Tien, Gohan (Cell Games)
2: Gohan (Early-Mid Android Arc / Buu Arc), Krillin
3: Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Gohan (Against Frieza)
4: Gohan (Saiyans)

Where does the sentiment of Gohan having no skill from? Was the one year with Piccolo, 3 years with Goku and Piccolo, and one year with Goku in the RoSaT all spent doing nothing?

As for the topic, Cell Games Gohan, in my opinion, is the most skilled Gohan. Boo saga Gohan is noted to be rusty and I don't think him getting his Ultimate power-up changed that.

I think they are talking about the skill-trays in Budokai.

Skill has little to do with DB really, as long as your laser blast can pack a bigger punch than the other guys, you're faster, smarter, stronger, more handsome and overall better. Ultimate Gohan, by DB standards is the best Gohan because his power is the greatest.

see, skill isn't even part of dragon ball. dragon ball is on another level, Skill requires thinking. they barely think in mid intense combat, maybe during pauses. like when nail talks to piccolo while playing minesweeper and distracting him from the transforming freeza. (shush). they work on instinct, they dodge, they hit, and they aren't sloppy.
idgaf what they're trying to do with the whole whis training them how not to think, because does it even look like anyone has time to think? look at Goku vs Cell, that s*** was brutal, when you're getting jabbed a thousand times in the face every second, i don't think you have time to think

This. You don't get far in DBZ by becoming a master of 127 different martial arts styles like Batman. Not even intelligence matters all that much if you ask me. So long as your power level is higher, you generally win.
