| Are beam struggles fun? How would you improve them?; Even if you like them, especially if you do. | |

So a thought came across, people seem to really enjoy beam struggles, but in my admittedly limited experience with them in games that contain them, I can't imagine why, from a gameplay standpoint anyway. I suppose it makes sense from a lore standpoint, but what is essentially button mashing doesn't seem like a good mechanic to have in a fighting game or an rpg game. Soo... How would you improve it if you don't like beam struggles, or if you do, how would you improve it anyway ![]() Personally, I'd probably change the system to be a bit more strategic, I think Injustice system could be a good addition to make, betting energy in order to win or lose a bout. With the loser losing health. What about you? What do you think? |

Here's a good beam struggle tip: Don't spin two analogs--just spin one and it gives you the edge every time. Yes, they are fun. |

I've said it before, I'll say it again. It should basically be an anonymous auction. Put ups as much ki and stamina as you're willing to use in one attack, add that to the power of the clashing attacks, and whoever gets the bigger number wins. Since no side can tell how much the other's used, it can be a chance to conserve ki for a counter attack, or use all you've got to ensure the hit. On a draw the beams explode and both parties take a small amount of damage. Also, this should only be possible for ultimates, or their equivalent. Normal ki moves should just cancel out weaker ones. |

I'm fine with them. I don't care for professionalism in fighting games much, just make them cool. The Injustice system wouldn't be quite as fun, because it wouldn't look like a struggle, just two ki blasts hitting each other |

Injustice Clash system would not work for Dragonball. Though more character talking in battle would be good . I like the rotating ki clash. It's fun and exciting. |
