The first image is easy. How many of you think this car is hot? Now be honest.. Here's a video. so what makes you, me and the next person think that car is hot? If we talk about humans. I don't personally think the car is hot. In regards to the others, mostly cultural pressure, but some of it isn't. There is some evolutionary bias, obviously you'd want to have a good mate, but a lot of it is societal. |

First, why did you put a warning for men and women? None of the images are particularly NSFW... Second, how does this relate to evolution? Some finds a car hot, so what? I've heard that coming from my uncle and it ain't a weird thing, it's more regular than it might seem. |

I think with cars it's more of a cultural thing, cars like those are obviously associated with class, wealth, being better than you probably are etc etc. And then with people it's more of a natural thing, your instincts tell you to get with as f***able a partner as possible and obviously some people are generally more beautiful than others. Everyone has their own tastes but there's definitely some people out there that like 80% of the world would agree are drop dead sexy, so obviously they can only be classified as such. |

Humans have become more and more better looking over thousands of years. So it seems like we are breeding ourselves beautiful. We desire certain traits and that's what gets bred. The undesirable aspects die out. So perhaps in answer to your question, it is because we bred ourselves this way. |

How attractive a woman is not only varies via culture, but personal preference. A recent study found that men in more remote regions find a more fit-looking or larger woman to be attractive than the traditional, frail type that is portrayed in Hollywood. Scientists attribute this attraction to survival, as it is beneficial to a man if he has a mate who is self-reliant and can contribute to the group or his own survival. Men in more urban environments tend to find thinner, more frail women more attractive as the survival skill required in urban environments isn't needed due to convenience and abundance of resources. This is also probably why women who were heavier set during the old times were considered more attractive than thin women. I don't think that any of the above images are "hot." First and foremost because I have absolutely no interest in cars, and secondly because I recently realized that I'm partially asexual and don't typically give in to societal pressures. There are biological reasons as to why certain faces and bodies are more attractive to potential mates, and there are a surprising number of documentaries about that, but I can't for the life of me remember any facts right now. |

Certain things are universally sexy, such as healthiness. From there it varies wildly and can even contradict the universal sexiness. Most if not all matters of sexiness are created from society. As an example, I imagine most here find breasts sexy, Mayans found cross eyed people sexy, what we consider attractive depends on personal experience, it's just that experience lends itself to certain types usually, due to a shared culture. Edit: Wait a minute is Grace Park a man?  (kidding kidding)

Tbf if you don't find the Rock sexy..you belong in prison. Everyone else you listed is meh. Good looking but no one can match or understand how much of a gift to humans is Dwayne Johnson. Besides nothing IMO is universally sexy or attractive. Everyone got a type. Might be influence by your surroundings but everyone taste is the same. Besides I'm not a cars person. Honestly think that car look too much like a McDonald's toy.

What people perceive as beauty (in terms of people) relates to a biological sign of "this person is good for mating/reproducing". The looks of these people are then passed on genetically, and along with other thins such as social influences, this is what becomes deemed as "beautiful". Even then it just comes down to the relevant person perception of this, as many people find many different types of men/women attractive, along with then liking certain objects (IE that car in the first post is horrible, but that's my view on it). |

It's both cultural and biological. Most people will find a mate of their own race and usually similar body time but I think variety is beautiful and the spice of life as they say |

It's partially societal but a lot of it is biological For example guys liking a girl with wider hips is not societal. That's a sign that they will more success with giving birth so that attracts us |
