How would this affect the story or would it not affect it? I think because Goku didn't die he could have reached SSJ3 in the Buu saga because it uses up to much Ki. |

Goku wouldnt have achieved ss3 without the assistance of otherworld training, as in otherworld ki was not drained nearly as fast as on Earth. Gohan would not have reached ss2, as he would have had no reason to be pushed passed his potential, however he would have more likely ended up stronger than he was as with Gonu's influence he would have maintained some training, i doubt he would have ever learned ss2 without a specific scenario forcing him to though. Krillin would be forever alone Vegeta and Goku would have had their rematch a lot sooner |

Vegeta would have been waiting at the door for Goku, if not barge in and challenge him inside the Room of Spirit and Time. Vegeta was crazy and bold during the Android arc. |

Nice scenario. I personally believe Vegeta would get jealous about Goku getting stronger than him and would opt for a 2nd RoSaT trip even without Cell around though Trunks and Piccolo wouldn't go meaning both characters would be significantly weaker than they would have been. Trunks would have left earlier with Cell gone and Gohan would more or less be around the same level of power he was at the CG because I still don't see him doing any extensive training. For the years that follow, Goku and Vegeta would have a series of matches leading to them both getting stronger than they were in the canon timeline + achieving SSJ2 though Goku wouldn't get to SSJ3 obviously. As for what happens in the Buu Arc, it's more or less the same though Goku and Vegeta are considerably more powerful than Gohan is with their constant battles combined with the fact that they have SSJ2 and he doesn't. Piccolo as I mentioned before isn't as strong as he is before due to not going in the RoSaT. Goten is a lot stronger due to Goku being around and he surpasses Gohan in power. Trunks I can see being roughly around the same level as Goten due to Vegeta being stronger. The fight with Babidi is a bit different. Gohan not having SSJ2 means he might not be targeted by Spopovitch and Yamu so it might be someone like Goku or Vegeta that gets to be the scapegoat for Kaioshin's plan of locating Babidi. Pui-Pui and Yakon are dealt the same way as they were before though Gohan has a better time fighting Dabura due to retaining his CG power though he's unable to get the job done which leads to Dabura turning him in to stone (keep in mind that the fight is not stopped due to Vegeta not being upset about not fighting Goku). An enraged Goku, after seeing Krillin, Piccolo, and now his son Gohan turned in to stone would easily kill Dabura causing the 3 to revert back to normal. Without Goku and Majin Vegeta having their fight to revive Buu, Babidi is screwed with no one to save him and is killed by the present Z-Fighters ending the series much earlier. EoZ still happens like normal though Gohan is incredibly weaker without his boost from Kaioshin, Gotenks is never formed, Marron not being born due to 18 being dead and Krillin not being married, and Uub never comes to existence meaning Goku wouldn't leave his family Come to think of it, this might be DBZ's most happy timeline lol (not including GT or BoG/RoF) because of how easy it is for the Z-Fighters compared to the canon timeline. Literally nothing would happen. Vegeta would probably use the RoSaT again, Trunks would go the future and kill everyone. Gohan would never have gotten Super Saiyan 2, but it's not like he ever used it in the Boo Arc anyway. The power meter isn't as full at the beginning, that's all that happens. I guess Goku being alive might change some things, maybe Goten is a bit stronger, maybe something with Vegeta, but eh. |

The entire course of the Buu Arc is practically changed as I mentioned in my previous post. So many things happening and changing along with the Arc ending much earlier and that Uub and Marron wouldn't be born. |

Goku would not have sacrificed himself and obtain ssj3. Gohan would not turn Ssj2. Majin Buu would probably not be revived as there wouldn't be strong enough fighters to use to bring him back. Vegito would probably not be born. |

Not unless the Z-Fighters stopped Babidi like I mentioned in my post. Vegeta would have no reason to desperately want to fight Goku so he would co-operate well with the other Z-Fighters. There's no chance in hell that Dabura could beat Goku and Vegeta let alone fighting either one of them one on one so Babidi would pretty much be screwed. |

The way Goku and Vegeta are though, they'd easily deal with Dabura, become disappointed about not having a good fight and then they'd offer their power to Babidi so they can fight Boo at full power. However, if Vegeta had been able to set aside his pride in the 7 years due to repeated defeats at the hands of Goku and actually requested to train with his rival they'd both be stronger than the canon timeline. Infact I think Vegeta would surpass Goku like Gohan did. So they'd actually beat Boo. Given the massive increases in power Goku and Vegeta appear to be making in Super (and I don't think Vegeta is getting his from the ritual), when they've maximised their training methods their power should increase much, much faster. So my power scale would be; ssj2 Vegeta (vkc) > ssj2 Goku (vkc) >>>> ssj3 Goku (canon) > Majin Boo |
