If Pilaf were to get murdered during the takeover of the RRA, then King Piccolo wouldn't be unsealed. Raditz would pretty much show up and realize the planet's own evil army destroyed the planet before he and Kakarot. Raditz would either leave out of boredom or destroy the planet out of frustration, due to the RRA's interference of "eliminating Kakarot and his mission."

I think the RRA would perceive Pilaf as being too frail and pathetic to warrant extermination. Their underestimation of the ambitious little would-be dictator would come back to haunt them since he would likely feel even more compelled to release King Piccolo. Without Goku to thwart his ambitions, KP would quickly usurp the martial government and exterminate anyone who opposes him. Tien wouldn't have a change in heart and might even choose to overlook the RRA for however long they stay in power, provided they don't interfere with his own ambitions since his idol helped precipitate their rise to power. However, once KP comes to power, he, Krillin, Yamcha, and Roshi might try to take matters into their own hands. This alternate scenario has so many butterflies that it's hard to determine how the exact picture would look. Are martial arts tournaments still permissible? That's a very important question to ask because KP was determined to see anyone who could possibly oppose his authority killed. Assuming he came back sometime between the RRA arc and the 22nd tournament, he might use the 21st registry to pick off the world's martial artists, making Yamcha and Krillin prime targets. Roshi should be safe since he was disguised, though I suspect he would involve himself anyway since his students are being endangered. The Mafuba probably doesn't work just like in the original timeline. So unless whoever is left alive trains rigourously with Karin or tries the Ultra Divine Water, the planet is doomed since Kami and Popo aren't going to lift a finger to help. Fast forward to Raditz's arrival and we have the extermination of all remaining life, including King Piccolo himself. It's quickly sold off to whatever buyer Raditz was referring to. |
