Morality in DragonBall?

Moral complexity or adherence isn't really explored in much depth. Goku and the others take for granted that the Dragonballs will solve all of their problems so it kind of trivialises the loss of those innocent people. From their perspective, it's not so much about trying to prevent these mass murdering psychopaths from killing and torturing as it is how many are needing to be sacrificed and then brought back with the Dragonballs.

Just because you can resurrect the population doesn't mean you shouldn't try and save them from being killed in the first place. The Z-Warriors should be doing their best to ensure their safety as a matter of principle.

When you put it like that, it really does make sense as to why the Shadow Dragons would be formed by overuse of the Dragonballs.
