Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

First fight, original sizes and no weapons for Optimus. Takes place in New York(no military/police intervention)
Second fight equal sizes, Optimus' weight is doubled and he has no weapons for Optimus again. Takes place in a dense forest with trees big enough for either to climb.

For whatever good it would do they can both use weapons in the form of lamp posts, cars, trees etc etc

Optimus is officially 9.75m (32 feet) tall, weighs 4.3 metric tons

An average Megaprimatus like King Kong would weigh around 8 tons and stand 25 feet tall.

Assuming those are correct anyway, if not all we have to go by.

Should be an interesting fight, Optimus is quite a bit taller but not as heavy so Kong has a weight advantage there, however of course Optimus is decently intelligent and very skilled.

By no weapons, you mean Optimus lacks just his guns? Or his swords too?

It doesn't really matter, Optimus's punches will tear Kong to bits. Kong was killed by crappy machine guns from the 1930's, Optimus can damage and punch through armor that can take modern weaponry without much trouble.

Optimus is also substantially stronger, given he can throw Starscream around like a ragdoll. Starscream turns into an F-22, which weighs in the realm of 20 tons.

Baymus Prime would win with or without weapons. 2005 Kong ain't that tough.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

All weapons.

Actually those were apparently Curtiss O2C-2 planes which means they were using at least .30 Cal rounds.
And those were powerful enough to hurt Bayformers since that's the same caliber most modern jets use.

Kong's extra weight should make his punches do way more damage.

Seems kinda doubtful Starscream weighs that much considering how easily he was knocked around when officially Optimus isn't even a 5th of that. Can't find anything that says it's officially 22 tons. Even Megatron is said to be 5.7 tons so I really doubt Starscream is the weight of a real F-22.

Not enough to dent Optimus' armor.

The only Transformer who was hurt by that was Scorponok, who is the very definition of s***. Even then, it didn't really hurt him all too badly until they busted out the sabot rounds.

Kong can have as much weight as he wants, it'll pale in comparison to Optimus only losing some teeth from a point blank shot of Megatron's fusion cannon that sent him flying.

Why are the Transformers so light?

He was in the first movie. In that one, he was a familiar of Blackout that could detach from him(think Laserbeak and Rumble)

Well, according to Age of Extinction, they're made of a special metal called "Transformium". We can only assume that transformium is a rather low-density material compared to normal metals.

As for the topic itself, Optimus would win this. He has impressive feats against foes much larger than him, plus he can go toe-to-toe with Megatron, who can send a whole military submarine flying right out of the water, by colliding it while deep under the surface, all while losing no speed due to the collision.

Didn't Optimus solo a charging Grimlock with only his shield?

Yeah, Kong has no chance here.
