I know a lot gets made regarding power levels and straight up fights, but a side of this isn't just those things. Characters can be important and not just in "dying so the hero has a reason to prevail". So, here's a list of DBZ feats for Krillin that are story critical: Assists in delaying the Saiyans until Goku arrives Receives the Spirit Bomb from Goku (You need both him and Gohan to pull this one off), bringing Vegeta down to a level that the monkey crush takes him out for good Technically, could have dealt the actual killing blow to Vegeta Assists in saving Dende from Dedoria Saves Dende & Gohan from Dedoria a second time with Solar Flare Has the sense to bring Gohan to Guru Helps save Vegeta against Recoome (causing the backfire) Saves Gohan from Freiza (insanely important) Attacks Imperfect Cell to save a mother and her child Chooses not to kill Android 18 Through the android saga, lives saved: Android 18 Gohan (twice) - plot critical Dende - plot critical Vegeta - plot critical Goku (if he and Gohan don't come back, unlikely Yajirobe cuts off Vegeta's tail or that even if he does, Vegeta isn't still strong enough to finish off a seriously injured Goku) - plot critical Mother and child on plane Thoughts? I'm sure there's some from the Buu saga, but admittedly I did not watch those. Kept meaning to. |

He also was angry at Vegeta after he tried to avenge Trunks, by saying Trunks could have just been revived by the DragonBalls, when all of that could have been prevented if he would have just shut-down Android #18 to begin with. He should understand where Vegeta is coming from. He also didn't bother help anyone when everyone was getting owned by the Androids. |

In regards to fighting the androids, his support would not have mattered - they had just taken down Piccolo, Trunk and Tien without breaking a sweat and a lengthy fight against Vegeta had him down - while Krillin was holding the only means of healing them in his hands. If you're the healer in an MMO, you don't rush the boss. |

When he messed with Frieza and gave vegeta the oppurtunity to hit him. That was cool |

I can appreciate someone who has the integrity to admit when they're afraid. It shows that they're flawed, yet honest. When they overcome said fear, I would argue that it feels more rewarding than just not feeling any apprehension at all because of the adversity faced that helps them grow. |

He helped give their stupid unconscious asses senzu beans so they would survive. If he blindly flew in and got knocked out too, they'd all be dead. |

I doubt he thought about that when he decided to let everyone get owned by the Androids. He was just too scared to get there. Even Tenshinhan who is weaker than Krillin tried to help. How can you justify that? |

Because Tien ended up face down on the floor after causing exactly zero damage to the androids. He wasn't helping, he was just committing suicide. Tien, Trunks and Piccolo charged in to a battle they knew they couldn't help with and wasted Senzu Beans, they're all dumb. Krillin only fights stronger opponents when it would actually HELP. For example when he attacks Nappa and Freeza, both times to save Gohan's life. Edited by Clearin, Oct 5 2015, 05:03 PM.

Krillin in DragonBall Z is a coward, that much is obvious. Even if Tenshinhan wasn't able to do anything, at-least he tried to go out in a blaze of gory, insetad of as a coward (if he were to die there). |

A coward wouldn't show up to fight the Saiyans (See: Yajirobe). A coward wouldn't have kicked Nappa in the face when his target was Gohan. A coward wouldn't have rushed at Vegeta, also to try and save Gohan. A coward wouldn't have drop kicked Dodoria to save Dende and Gohan. A coward wouldn't have cut off the tail of the worlds most feared tyrant and then wave his a*** in his face shouting "come and get me". I'm not sure why you say "In Dragonball Z" either. He wasn't exactly any better in the original Dragon Ball. Not necessary WORSE (he jumped on board to help Goku fight the RRA), but not better. |

In DragonBall Z it was way more visible (if it was even there before). That's also Krillin being somewhat intelligent, but you can't deny that at that very moment he was a coward. He could have tried to help his friends, but he didn't (even if it wouldn't have helped). He even admits & apologizes when they all get healed again. Piccolo says it wouldn't have mattered either-way. Also he was the last one of the Humans & Piccolo (in the anime) to help against Cell. He said it wouldn't have mattered any-ways. What a joke. |

Exactly. There was NO benefit to trying to help here. Not trying to help gave him the benefit of staying alive, and letting everyone else live to.
Yeah I always hated that scene in the anime. Then again the fact that ANY of them hesitated was dumb. Why would they be scared of Cell right now? All he can do to them is brush them away with his Ki. But if we take anime into account then we have Krillin saving a mother and child from first form Cell when he could have flown past unnoticed, and being the only one of the lookout who dared to fight Super Boo. |

But he himself admits as much as that he was a coward at the moment. Piccolo tries to comfort him by saying it wouldn't have mattered any-ways. If Krillin can admit it, why can't we? |

Piccolo was telling the truth though, he wouldn't have made a difference. Krillin might have felt bad for it, but it was still the right thing to do. In my opinion "coward" doesn't mean "somebody who blindly throws himself into a battle he know he can't make a dent in", that just means being reckless. Even Piccolo calls Trunks an idiot for charging into the battle. And then Vegeta calls them all idiots also for charging in. Also note that when the androids come back up to the mountain Krillin does raise his fists in a fighting stance. He was going to fight if he had no other choice, but he did have a choice, and his choice saved not only his life, but the lives of everyone. |
