Kurama vs Hiei; Yu Yu Hakusho

 It seems to be implied that they are always about even. Am I wrong and is one superior to the other? Who do you believe would win in each arc? I would think Hiei, but Kurama is as brilliant a fighter as they come. Thoughts?

 I've been told that Yoko Kurama is stronger than Hiei, but Hiei's Dragon of the Darkness Flame technique is killer.

 So who do you think would win at each of these times?

Beggining of Dark Tournament? Kurama hasn't unlocked Yoko yet, but Hiei has no control over his DotDF technique. Im thinking Hiei since he did still succesfully use the technique on an opponent and it would surely devour Kurama, but it was implied it could of back fired.

End of Dark Tournament? Kurama needed that potion for Yoko. Hiei seemed to have more control over the darkness flame and even absorbed it. It should be an even fight if Kurama transformed and Hiei absorbed the flame. Unsure how this one could go.

VS Sensui? Unsure here.

3 Kings Tournament? Same as above, im unsure about the full extent of their powers.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

 On all counts I'd give it to Hiei, he's one of the faster if not the fastest character in the series and Kurama despite being intelligent and a great fighter typically takes time to set up his fights.




Though he is a bit arrogant Hiei's fighting style should win this, unless he holds back a lot out of respect but I doubt he'd give Kurama much of a chance since he has Yukina to protect.

Also the nature of his powers, fire, should surely beat out plants in most cases.

 Kurama psyches the s*** out of Hiei. Although Hiei is easily more powerful In terms of demon energy.

By the end of the series, Hiei goes from barely defeating one of makuro's weaker elite guards to being substantially stronger than her second-in-command; Suichi Kurama did better against that opponent than Hiei did.

Yoko could have probably tooled that opponent, going off of yomi's expectations.
