There is no kaioken. It's Kaioken x2 and up. If he says Kaioken, it means Kaioken times two. I used to think that it was a 1.5x boost. |

"Kaioken" is the name of the technique. "Kaioken x2" is using the technique to boost your power by x2. |

Kaio-Ken is Kaio-Ken x2, but alternatively you can also say what Clearin said. |

Kaiokorn is 1.07x and Kaiokorn X2 is 2.4x. That's what I understand from my battle power calculations. If I could talk to AT I would get him to allow me to rewrite that part to clarify with my calcs. |

Kaioken is a term. Example Goku never said Kaioken tines 20 but he did say kaioken. Through dialog we know it's 20*. Similar to kaioken x10. He doesn't have to say the number |

They're basically the same as it's been said above several times already. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

I believe it was clarified somewhere by Toriyama that Kaioken and Kaioken x2 were the same thing, although I can't find a reference at this moment. |

It's either somewhat of a mistake on Akira's part, or an error in translation, or both from what I've read. In the english manga it's implied there is a difference (only) in the Goku vs Vegeta fight. In the first Instance Goku states he's using "Kaioken," and after the scuffle Vegeta belittles him by saying "that better not be all you have," to which Goku's response is "Kaioken x2," and afterwards says "Even KKx2 isn't enough." It implies he's using a more powerful version of KK, but in reality Goku just used the x2 amplification of Kaioken twice to no avail. Edited by Ryebrid, Oct 4 2015, 11:34 AM.

The narrator plainly says that the Kaio-Ken doubles Goku's power, so apparently it and the KKx2 are the same. I'd say the specific mentions of x2 were just meant a precursor to Goku using the x3 and above thereafter.

A Kaioken x0.5 would cut the power in half. That makes no sense. Kaioken = Kaioken x2 from what I understand. |
