Chrome	i think they are the same, but someone i argued with says Kaioken is 0.5x boost and Kaioken x2.. is well, just that. so what is it ???

I used to think that it was a 1.5x boost.

Chrome Favourite Manga Dragon Ball	It's either somewhat of a mistake on Akira's part, or an error in translation, or both from what I've read. In the english manga it's implied there is a difference (only) in the Goku vs Vegeta fight. In the first Instance Goku states he's using "Kaioken," and after the scuffle Vegeta belittles him by saying "that better not be all you have," to which Goku's response is "Kaioken x2," and afterwards says "Even KKx2 isn't enough." It implies he's using a more powerful version of KK, but in reality Goku just used the x2 amplification of Kaioken twice to no avail. Edited by Ryebrid, Oct 4 2015, 11:34 AM.

Chrome Favourite Manga One Punch Man	The narrator plainly says that the Kaio-Ken doubles Goku's power, so apparently it and the KKx2 are the same. I'd say the specific mentions of x2 were just meant a precursor to Goku using the x3 and above thereafter. Edited by Kaboom, Oct 3 2015, 06:01 PM.
