....Or at least a very specific group of them. They're some of the most ignorant, biased, and close-minded I've ever came across.

Can any of y'all feel me?

Umm, depends on what you hate the fanbase for, I guess. I'm personally not very fond of the Dragon Ball fanbase because the majority of fans are obnoxious and closed minded about a lot of things.

Perfectly reasonable depending on why, I think I know what you're talking about,, and yeah, I can understand hating those "I'm right you're wrong period" people.

I'd say I despise about 99% of the community.

It's understandable.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Basically this. I'm fine with having general discussions about the series, perhaps talking about nostalgic moments from our childhoods, but get into battle powers and which character is better (even from an actual character standpoint), you lose me. The ignorance and stubbornness is wild, though I'm sure it's not uncommon for other communities.

You know what parts of the fanbase I hate most? The "This dub is superior to this dub" and the Broly lovers who can't accept that Broly isn't a god who is invincible with the power to destroy the universe by blinking... You get my point.

People are unique and like different things for different reasons and the amount of people I see giving hate and making vile comments towards others I see because someone said they like this dub or this character more is awful.

I'm not sure that I would go so far as to claim that I despise the fandom as a whole. There are elements that could warrant a lukewarm reception, but by and and large I try to respect their opinions without holding any animosity.

Most fans I also hate, tbh; but not personally, I just don't like the way they discuss the series.
This community is an exception, as most of us here are well informed and argue about truths of the series, and not half lies.

However, both Funimation and Toei is to blame for a lot of the junk that these people believe; so I also hate them as well because they intentionally butchered the true version of the series (manga) with the intention of making it more entertaining for their respective audiences, and not remaining true to the manga.

However, I will say that about 70% of the fandom falls into this ill-informed category. But I guess I also express my disdain for them being too lazy to pick up a manga volume and read the damn thing. These things are readily available, so it's not like these people have no means of accessing this information. And Kanzenshuu has an entire section dedicated to translated interviews.

Its hilarious when u look down at certain fanbase. That too of painting/drawing and going to great extent just to make sure they "agree" with majority assumption/fact.

Its opinion after all.

Fanbase I've come-across are just too "green" and after some arguements I've made with them, they were cool abt it

It can range frm Broly fans to Tien-tards

Its a matter of approach & if ur polite when starting ur arguements.

I've came across some notorious a***holish fans of YYH, FMAB, Naruto & even Bleach.

While it does bring some bad name to its fanbase, I dont openly call them in Forum or anywhere that those fanbase were pathetic, dumbfools etc

I have to agree. Most "fans" care only about battle powers and "feats". Discussing those things can be fun, the problem starts when people start caring about them. Given the choice between Goku being shown moving ten trillion times the speed of light or Goku being a well-written character with flaws and development, the sort I'm speaking of would choose the former.

It's difficult getting into debates or arguments with people because you always have to deal with those people who simply don't have the keen amount of knowledge of the series that we do. It wouldn't surprise me if more than half of the Western population only used the Funimation Dub to base their knowledge off the series. Add in things like Toei's baffling excerpts from the series, fake guidebooks and just plain out incorrect information all around and you the percentage who really get down and dirty with whole series and its knowledge is even lower than that.

And with Super out and even more constant additions and changes of information, it becomes even more difficult. Of course the biggest problem isn't the fact that people believe in this stuff, its that even if you give them the proper information they refused to accept it.

I don't hate them, I just laugh at how ignorant and stupid their comments are, and be on my merry way.
