Posts: 1,995 Group: Member Member #10,673 Joined: January 4, 2014 Gender Male	How come no one ever tried mastering SSJ2? It shouldn't be all that stressful or energy consumption but no one perfected it. It seems like a nice balance of powering up and keeping cool.

I always wondered the same thing. If they master ssj why not ssj2? I'd imagine the gains from mastering ssj2 would be even more than mastering ssj1 since it's probably harder. Or maybe that's the problem? Maybe ssj2 is too much to master?

I just pissed in my diapers & im angry"

Super Saiyan 2 is basically a "super-charged" version of Super Saiyan, so the level of energy it operates with is most likely too volatile to ever gain complete and natural control over. Training it to the point where you can transform at will and sustain it for a prolonged fight, like Goku and Vegeta both could by the Boo arc, is probably the most anyone would be capable of.

Gohan basically unlocked SSJ2 by accident. Are really to assume SSJ2, an entirely new form, can be mastered instantly after it took an entire saga to master the first form? SSJ2 was supplanted too quickly. It is the first form that introduced lightning, and it will always be the coolest, tied with SSJ, in my book. Edited by SuperSaiyan1993, Sep 29 2015, 05:49 PM.

I have a feeling that the further the body is transformed from it's natural state, the harder it is to maintain a natural adaptation of that. The Super Saiyan is only a slightly modified version of the Saiyan's natural state, while Super Saiyan 2 and (further) Super Saiyan 3 are modified versions of Super Saiyan. If Super Saiyan 2 was indeed mastered, why wouldn't Goku and Vegeta opt to use that over SSj? Doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense to get your a whooped battling Boo inside his own head if you could comfortably use a stronger form without drawbacks. I do believe that Goku and Vegeta are better at using SSj2 than Gohan, but that alone doesn't mean that they've mastered the state. One could also argue that Android Arc Vegeta was better at SSj than Namek Era Goku; and we know that Vegeta isn't mastered during that era; simply that he's more skilled with the form. And to top it off, when he advanced his state to Grade 2, he wasn't mastered, which is probably the reason why Grade 2 is nowhere near as efficient as SSj2. They were both able to maintain the form for a long time during the fight and they both looked pretty relaxed to me. Goku and Vegeta where both stated to be stronger then SSJ2 Gohan was against Cell. I thought this was the case because Goku and Majin Vegeta were both mssj2s and Gohan never mastered it, thus why ssj2 Goku and Vegeta were stronger.

I doubt they could remain as ss2's all day like they did with ss though.
