It is dumb. Like you said, Nazis killing Jews = horrible tragedy, but if you go to war and kill a lot of brown folks, you're a "war hero". Don't get me wrong, what the Nazis did was wrong and unjustifiable, but we kill a s***ton of people in all the wars we have going on. I saw a picture on the 11th saying something like "RIP the 1.5 million innocent Iraqis" in regards to 9/11 and the Iraq war. That's a lot of f***ing innocent people, if that number is correct.

This woman is almost 100 and probably didn't kill anyone herself. I see no reason to arrest her for this, especially considering that WWII ended 70 years ago.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

The Nazis are not considered evil because they lost the war, they are considered evil because they were evil. Sides can win wars and still be considered wrong in some of their actions e.g. like Curry said, the Americans 'won' their war with the Native Americans, but the near-genocide they committed is not exactly considered 'heroic', ditto for Australia and the Aboriginals. Also, from what I'm aware, many people do not consider the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as explicitly good deeds. It's much more complicated than that.

Regarding the story, if they can prove everything they're accusing her of, then of course she should be held responsible.

"Next time?"
"Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is."
