Donald Trump as President?

What do you guys think of Donald Trump running for US President, currently? I personally think it's a joke, and don't get people are letting run for president.

His speeches, and what he talks about are very unrealistic, in my opinion.

If he were to become President, his presidential reign would be worst than Barack Obama's reign (as he tends to get complained about by a lot of people).

He's a joke and no one will vote for him. I think anyone taking him seriously probably has more screws loose than he does.

He won't be President since he's alienated pretty much every denomination.

He barely has supporters in the republican party, and iirc has the highest percentage of republicans saying there would not consider supporting him. Ted Cruz at this point has a better chance of becoming president and he's really alienated the center. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if this were a PR stunt by Mr. Trump.

Trump's got no chance. He hasn't got the support of the Latino voters and he definitely doesn't have the support of moderate voters in America. He might offer a base to those who are more extreme, but he's not a serious candidate. Once the time comes to actually vote, people will know that he isn't a viable candidate.

I agree that Trump is a lunatic and he shouldn't have a chance at presidency.

The reality however is that he does have a chance. People are stupid, they will fall for his charisma, and they will be completely ignorant to what he exactly stands for.
Voters are stupid, that's why Trump has a shot.

I disagree. If voters were stupid then Obama wouldn't have won two elections. People know what's up.

Lots of people voted for him because he was black.
In that case stupidity actually worked out.

Don't forget Bush got 2 terms

But there are a ton of candidates, it's a like a buffet choose your favorite, I mean yeah Trump has a chance to win but that chance is so far out of left field, competition just has too much overall. I mean remember allot of petite remember this guy for saying "you're fired" during the recession, and more importantly known for abandoning Iowa during the party fund raiser in 2012. Stupid maybe, but anyone that would vote for him probably isn't aware of the primaries either

I don't think Donald Trump is a lunatic, for people saying and meaning that. He has a different outlook than the other candidates, he's good at sticking out from the others.

He has some controversial policies, but nothing that no-one can relate to. He has a game plan, even if he isn't a serious contender next year he has mixed things up drastically. If anything, he's genius.

Honestly, I think he is a joke, but most politicians are. In fact, I think he's smeared by both sides because he's not a Bush or a Clinton. The country will likely remain the same as it already is if he gets in charge... A hellhole. He might worsen the state of the country, but still.

... You've never seen the Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, or North Korea have you?
The USA is a good deal better than most countries.

Not a good idea to talk about America being great if you compare it to third world countries, It's best to compare to other first world countries.

I don't know if this makes any sense, but Trump has backed off on "being Trump" recently.

To be honest, he's the leading candidate for the Republican party at this moment.
Ben Carson isn't far behind. But Sanders is the leading candidate right now for all parties. Trump has voter turnout of 30,000 at his rallies (tops), Sanders has over 100,000 for voter turnout at his rallies. Most of them are millenials, an age group of whom the majority is overwhelmingly Liberal Democrat.

Sanders's campaign may not be the most publicized one via television, but his campaign has executed his social media presence flawlessly, which is the new outlet that most of the voter body uses now. Few voters actually get their information from news networks now, who are all over Trump and the GOP.
Trump may personally use Twitter the most out of anyone running, but that's not a campaign presence.

#Feelthebern is gaining momentum, and it's a candidate's success in the social media outlet that will make or break them for this election.

I agree with Bernie Sanders for the most part and like him as a candidate because he actually has true facts and cites them frequently, but whether or not his vision for the US is realistic is another issue. The US has an immensely complicated economic and social structure. Stuff doesn't change overnight. Changing the structure like Sanders's campaign wants will take a lot of time to do, considerably longer than the max 8 years that he can have in office.

Well yeah, I'm mostly just saying America isn't actually bad though, a hellhole compared to other first world countries maybe. Personally hellhole is a term I think should be applied to places that are... Well hellish.

Putting Donald Trump in the category of "Presidential Canditate" is just as dumb as putting someone like Waka Flocka in that category (who said he would run for President in 2016). I don't see letting Obama run as President for two, separate terms as a mistake... maybe a disappointment, but that's it. He's not the one pulling the strings in the end of the day.
