Being controversial in modern times(long read)

I mean controversial in a negative manner. They're positives ones too just I'm focusing on the negs. It seems like being ignorant or in some cases controversial will award you instead of being ignored. Bad publicity is still publicity. Money is earned when you go on the talk shows and address your point. And on YouTube your viewership increases. Say I'm a YouTube Partner who's starting to get less views. I can put out a ignorant statement about women and blacks. Social media sites will promote me for being dumb and thus I make money. It's like there's steps to doing this. Being infamous.

1. Think of a topic that everyone relate to. Preferably controversial(religion, offensive stuff, police, sex, or appearance
1a. Purposely make an ignorant post on a subject. Ex: All gamers are loser who live with their parents. This will attract people to defense mood and make your topic popular.
1b. Exaggerate your personality. Don't get too crazy but exgerrate your viewpoint. This will either piss people off and they tend to write essays for you (just skim don't read all of it) or hop on your bandwagon

2. Depending on the section. Have a certain fan base or something your famous for. See 1c. People here tend to follow you more if they're familiar with who you are and what you're about. Because they want to see how you exceed yourself from the previous topic. Or to see if you're just a stale boring nonsense. Example over at the DBZ section I'm Goten fan 24/7 all day b***s and same with spam. At "Talk Anything" I'm a jackass. I like to keep things fresh.
2a. If you ever feel like you're becoming stale then step out your comfort zone and try new things. Can be beneficial.

4. Rival a defensive audience like gamers, females, or black people. People are easily offended these days so this should not be hard.

4a. You can have different sets of target users.

4b. Stand out and be an established member or iconic member of Dbzf. Not our faults but here you're more labeled by your personality and posting style rather than full blown knowledge (unless knowledge is a trait of yours). If you're established you're most likely to get a reaction from people in the topics you create. Whatever they like you or not is irrelevant for now.

Seems like people are drawn to negative impact instead of good things. And if you're being infamous then you're being rewarded and if you're being a great human being you go through the struggle.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Yeah it's hilarious how this crap works.

Did you hear about that shameless woman who was videoed having a threesome in public? Not only that but she vomited on the guy she was performing oral on while the other did his thing.

She did that and then she started a YouTube channel and her first video got over 6 million views, all because she done something icky and was proud of it. She only has 17 thousand subscribers but she stopped uploading s*** after her second video, which got half a million views.
No doubt she would have got a lot more popular if she kept it going.

Sometimes people will get internet famous over positive things, like saving someone from an accident...but people quickly forget about them.
But if they do something controversial instead and then keep posting stupid s*** even if 99.999999% of the comments etc aimed towards what they say are against it they still get a metric f*** ton of views/comments/whatever and thus money in various ways.

It's just hilarious.

Didn't you post this in the spam section at one point already, just without the blurb and missing a few sections?

Someone requested me to alter this and turn it to a slightly more serious topic. Wasn't intended to be a legit topic but I guess it can be interesting for some to discuss. The points was written originally as if it was spam.

Hey, this was actually a good topic had it been a tad bit more serious and now about DBZF. This can be an interesting discussion about marketing, online popularity, fitting it with mainstream market, and other things. Can you please make a serious version of this? I'm sure it'll be a fun discussion. Pretty please.

My Dear Melancholy,

Makes me curious on why people are attracted to negativity. Certainly it can be entertaining but seems like people generally are obsessed with anything negative related. Is it because people like arguing or just positive is boring.
