This is the flat-out disrespectful, in my opinion. Dumb feminist groups in USA running around topless, but going to the religious conference topless is way too extreme. It's just as disrespectful as going to a church topless. I don't understand why feminists complain so much? This isn't the 1800's or pre-eras where women were treated like slaves. They are treated better than men in some cases, e.g domestic violence. If a women starts going crazy and beating up a defenseless man or her boyfriend who didn't do anything, people will start cheering the women on. But if the man does something, he's arrested for domestic violence and treated like scum.

The movement itself as a whole isn't bad, but the use of the term by radicals (who aren't even feminists) in this day and age has pretty much destroyed any credibility that the movement had in the eyes of many people.

Or at least debate it. It's arguably disrespectful, but it's also a sign of equality becoming more valued there in the Muslim community. This isn't by Christian or atheists but by what I understand to be members of the Muslim community. Granted this is very rude, and makes other feminists look bad. I will say they seem to remind me of Pussy Riot, another group with similar antics, though a bit more focused on defying the Putin regime. Agreed, plenty of "feminists"are not actually feminist, feminist are for equality specifically, the people thinking that men should be slaves yada yada and such are just female supremacists. This is likely because liberalism has been on the rise recently, so there's a movement for practically every minority now, so feminists think they have a say on the matter... Feminism fights for equality, It's simply called feminism because in the early days women were less fortunate in every way imaginable. It's like the black power movement.
