Regime change, do you believe that forced regime change has any relevance today?

It was pretty frequent during the ColdWar, now that you'd think it's over you'd think that diplomacy would be the way forward after we closed that 70 or so years of a nuclear standoff chapter in our existence.



If there is a political section out there around the forum, I would appreciate it if any moderator was to move it there, sorry for the inconvenience :)

Not referring to any government. Just thought the idea of replacing a head of state with another head of state that you like was pretty outdated.

Nah, changing your leader once in a while is a good thing. Thatcher stayed for one term too long and it was not great. I dread to think how bad it would have gotten if she had been permanent.

Yeah that's how a democracy is supposed to work, their term lasts for about four years to half a decade, or more depending on a nations constitution.

I just don't find it acceptable when a administration of one nation seeks to force another leader out of power, because they don't follow their status quo...
