It is my greatest desire to learn English and Dragon Ball is one of my favorite anime. I have decided to attend the forum in the hope of learning English and having fun, I use Google Translate to communicate with all of you. While you made a few minor mistakes, I could understand you perfectly, which is what matters the most. If you don't mind a little bit of constructive criticism, I've outlined the errors I saw and have included some suggestions to fix them. This should really be "my name is Toey and I am from Thailand" or something to that effect; as it is now, it means that your name is "Toey from Thailand" and I don't think this is the case. Quote: I have decided to attend the forum in the hope of learning English and having fun, I use Google Translate to communicate with all of you. You should start this sentence with a word like "therefore" to help it connect to the previous sentence. You don't actually need one, but it helps make your writing sound more natural. Also, a forum isn't something you attend. A better word would be "join." The comma in the middle of the sentence should be a period (which is also called a "full stop" in some parts of the world - I'm not sure what it's called in Thailand), since the clauses on either side of it are both independent clauses. What you have now is a comma splice, which you should avoid using. Quote: Over time, I should be able to use Google less because I was due to start learning English in October. This is really the only real mistake you've made in this post. "...I was due to start learning English..." should be "...I am due to start learning English..." since October is in the future. You use "was" when you talk about the past. If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to ask me. I work with English learners and I hope to be an English teacher some day, so it would be valuable to both of us!
